Drink and drive if you must. There's nothing worse than having a crash when you're stone cold fucking sober!

That is not the one I originally intended to post. One version had Britney Spears - Everytime instrumental playing in the background. Fuck it was poignant and sad.

The US should employ the Italian drunk driving laws.

One things I noticed about Italians is that they do not drink and drive. They are all scared shitless of the penalties.

agreed.... every single weekend night in the united states there are probably literally a million people on the roads who have been drinking, if not more. and of those millions there are probably only a handful which die or cause deadly accidents.

statistically speaking, driving under the influence is about as risky as walking across a street.

A few years ago not in my Wildest fucking dreams would i EVER imagine adults reasoning like this. And you wonder why everyone hates americans?

Being very sleepy is ofc extremly bad and should also be punished.

Get back to me when some drunk asshole rams into your car killing your kids and leaving you alive.
You piece of shit. If I believed in god I would pray that you get cancer and die a slow and horrible death, maby in lucky enough that it runs in your family.

So if someone you love dies in a car accident its somehow worse that the driver was drinking and didn't just fall asleep at the wheel?  total bullshit.  Being too tired to operate a vehicle is JUST AS BAD.  You make a conscious decision to operate one when you know you shouldn't.... they are equally bad, period.

FAR more accidents are caused by falling asleep while driving.  And its the same thing, you are operating a motor vehicle when you are in no physical shape to.  Yet one is the worst offense to mankind and the other is an "oh dear, accident..."

your point being?

are there taking sleepy drinks at sleepy bars??

both should be punished hard.

Not sure about northern Italy, but down south, there are massive fines and big time liscense pentalities. They do not fuck around.

The cops are also much more serious. They stand around with machine guns.

We went to a club called Rebus with a bunch of locals and not one of them even dreamed of driving after a drink.

stop with THAT FUCKING ISSUE:

BOTH ARE HORRIBLE. and should be punished just as hard. DUY is worse imo though. you should however loose your licence RIGHT AWAY in both cases for a LONG ASS time.

in no way am I trying to incite anything .. but it is different to me

sitting in a bar or at a friends house drinking in excess is a choice made knowing that what you are doing is impairing your abilties and senses.. there's times people are tired and don't realize how tired until they fall asleep while they're driving .. one is just as bad as the other in consequences but really the consumation of alcohol is done to "party" and the ramifications are clear as day when you get in your car after that ... being over tired can happen with less realization ... similar to how someone can drift off into a nap in an easy chair

w8m8, I'll respond to your post to include Swede also.  See, I don't see it as ANY different, because people know when they are too sleepy to get behind the wheel, unless they are narcoleptic (sp)....so they do make a conscious decision to drive and therefore are putting people at risk around them.  Its a personal repsonsibility thing to me.  Of course many American drivers are so horrible, I'm not sure it matters.

Swede, what you said was my point....they are both horrible and should be punished.  I just think the attitude of somehow one is worse than the other is misplaced.  And the only reason I bring it up is because, at least here in the states, people are just given a ticket when they do fall asleep and cause an accident, so they are free to repeat the stupid behavior, where a DUI and they are taken off the roads.  It's a bad double standard.

But lets be clear, I'm not excusing either one, as they are equally stupid and life threatening.

Germans were excellent drivers.  They take it VERY seriously.  I remember asking one of them why their car didn't have a cup holder and he was so surprised....."You are supposed to be driving, not drinking a soda..."  And they had a much longer process to get a license than we do.

How the fuck do you test for tiredness, there is direct test for alcohol. It's not subjective, everyone's blood alcohol rates are the same, you may drink more, but your blood alc goes to the same level.

This is why doing shit for weed or sleep it makes no fucking, sense, you can't proove that shit, it's way to subjective. Someone like xerxes always looks sleepy, someone like me looks full on 24/7, you can't tell, I can be super alert one moment that faith out of exhaustion the next, everyone's different when it comes to sleep.
