Music is a reflection of the culture...the signs are everywhere. And hip-hop has gone down hill. It has been said it's evolving, but when you have Soulja Boy being hailed as the future of hip-hop something is wrong...the record companies are just pimping the artists, many of the hip-hop artists are not hard, not gangstas, for instance Eminem is no gangsta, no hardcore dude, but he is marketed and presented as such. There was a well known marketing dude that told Jay to do the Mafiaoso stuff, and then most of NYC rappers were following that and Biggie's lead---the player/mafia type guys...look at Lady Gaga, she is very talented, but she sold her soul to become famous and is more known for her outlandish getups and gimmicks and simple Simon music that her actual talent. Shakira as well. I could go on...like Justin Beiber...

Depeche Mode was awesome, one of my favorite bands at the time, when to the Rose Bowl Concert out here in Pasaedna when they played there...
