If you do nothing with it, then a calorie is a calorie. For example, let's say you eat 6,000 calories a day of meat, fish and poultry and don't train, you are likely to smaller muscles with a big gut. Now, if you eat 6,000 calories a day of typical fast food and really bust hump in the gym every day for two or more hours at a time, you are likely to get larger muscles, with perhaps no abdominals showing.
6,000 calories of nothing but Hostess Fruit Pies, Twinkies and Cup Cakes? You are likely to get sick. Really sick. Fat, dumb and happy, but sick. And tired. Sick and tired from sugar highs and lows. To an extent you can blame it on the food, but in the end it really is, for the greater part, what you do with it.
