Survey: Americans are largely divided on health reform
« on: December 10, 2010, 04:43:03 AM »
A survey showed that 31% of Americans were in favor of health reform's provisions, while 28% did not want the law to take effect and 29% remained unsure of their stand. Additionally, while the majority of those who wanted to block the law said it was "too expensive" or called it a "form of socialism," many of them liked the law's provisions, including those that provide insurance for people with pre-existing conditions and offer tax credits to small businesses to help pay for employees' insurance. Nearly 60%, however, oppose the law's individual mandate.
