Waist size=% bodyfat?

Just curious how you fellas see it? In my own experience I know that once my waist measures 30 inches then I'm sub-8, and then once it's down to 29 inches then I'm sub-5

the way I see it..if you can wear a belt and it's not facing south after you buckle it up your good on the BF% lol if it's heading south.....time to get to work.

Doesn't work very well, waist has musculature that can grow or shrink.

My obliques have definatley gotten bigger but under the obliques my hips are really tiny. In generaly i am small jointed.

My waist used to always be sub-30.  My chest would always be about 10 inches bigger.  Today my waist is around 32, but my chest is about 47 inches....about a 15 inch difference. 

Side note:  I don't believe any of the Pro's really have a 30 - 32 inch waist.

5ft7.  It was 24" when i last competed. My bone structure is quite light though.  My wrists are less than 6" in circumference.

Waist to hip ratio is a much better indicator.

28 inch waist is small no matter what your height is. I'm also 5'11" and currently my waist is 33.5 inches, and I gots to get it down to at least 32 inches coz by then I'm sitting at sub-12. So I'm curious spude, wot you weighing when yo waist measures 28 inches?

waist size can be a good indicator of bfat.

but different people put different % of bfat on in different areas of the body and at different stages and times.

but that being said, its still a good indicator and why the ab skin fold is used in the 3 point bfat caliper test.

skin fold is better as shorter people will have narrower waists- measurement wise.

Your right, bro. I`m one of those lucky fellas who was born with  small waist. Then again i have always hard time to get my ass and legs truly shredded.
Measuring ones waist can, however, be a good indicator for ones personal bf changes, comparing with others, not so much.
