just this morning it was announced that we're at a record deficit of something like $13.5 TRILLION.
But will republicans REFUSE TO RAISE THE DEBT CEILING as they promised, now that they have the house?
probably not. It'll be 14 til next year, because the tea party saviours will fall into line.
it's not left/ or right/. They're all happy spending our money. Dems give it to welfare bums and Repubs give it to billionaires. They don't give a shit about us.
Easy, Sarah Palin. If Colin Powell would've been selected as Mccain's running mate the world would be different.
Agreed. A full 60% of 2008 voters said they didn't believe Palin was even qualified for the VICE presidential position. He did a poor job vetting her - she couldn't get thru a single interview without embarassing herself, being stumped by a simple high school interviewer Q like "What newspapers do you read?"
When the economy went to shit in mid-september, Americans had two choices. mccain (who admitted he was weak on economy) or Palin (who appeared weak on anything past 4th grade reading comprehension). The failure to admit the economy was in troble - and put a Romney on the ticket- cost him that election.
