wasn't Duchaine who introduced the idea of using DNP?

Also, his work on Cyclical Ketogenic Diets (along with Mauro DiPasquale)was groundbreaking.  H

Very, very sharp guy. Crazy too, very reckless at times. But extremely bright. I can't think of anyone in his league today. Patrick Arnold perhaps, to an extent. Similar thought process, but he isn't really in the hardcore bodybuilding field per se.

Too bad he treated his women like animals.

1 girl he left with brain damage after he wouldn't let her wear a helmet while riding passenger on his motorbike (Horrible accident left her a vegetable)

Another he took to mexico to get enormous breast and calf implants. Post operative infection ravaged her legs so badly that she had to be amputated below the knee.

He got another hooked on recreational drugs and ditched her.


Real classy guy.

Yeah, I remember back in the day when Mentzer had some not so good things to say about his character and "taking advantage" of naive or not so worldly females.

  Despite his obsessions with steroids, he never weighted more than 200 lbs with average bodyfat. He tried all stacks and all drugs imaginable, and yet all he gained from it was 10-20 lbs, most of it water. Maybe is he had squatted and benched a little bit more, those steroids would have worked a little bit better....
