it's funny that the defense of their guy is "well, the last lady sucked TOO!"

I happily admit pelosi was a botoxed nutcase.

and I happily admit boehner is an emotional train wreck who drinks merlot with breakfast.

The only thing you morons criticize Boehner for is that he cries. So what?

How about waiting to see the guy perform in his post and see how he does? It won't be until January until he takes over, yet he is already being bashed for crying. Already conclusions are being made that somehow he is weak.

Pelosi has a record of being incompetent and a nitwit, yet I don't remember threads opened by you or any other Lib on this board criticizing her for it. NOW, you admit that she "was a botoxed nutcase". Where was this admission in the past 4 years?

Let's see what Boehner does before trashing him. But we can and should trash Pelosi because she showed she was unfit for the position.

The only thing you morons criticize Boehner for is that he cries. So what?

You must have missed the post right after that, where i criticized him for refusing to even SAY the word 'compromise'.  This helps obama in 2012.

Boehner outright refused to even use the word COMPROMISE.

It's like he's giftwrapping a 2012 win for Obama.

All Owebama has to do it point at the senate leader - and remind america "I tried to work across the aisle - and 1 week after I completely agreed to give the repubs what they wanted, Boehner goes on 60 Minutes and promised america there would be no compromise, no working across the aisle".

Dumber than frog shite.  Really.  Boehner should have said "YES!  We're ready to sit down with obama and fix america's problems - it is what we said we'd do while running for office.  He caved immediately to us on the tax cuts, and we're going to solve america's problems!"

Instead, he just outright promised america two years of gridlock as they refuse to budge a single bit.  Two weeks after obama budged bigtime.

Wow.

If the worst thing Boehner does as speaker is cry occasionally, he is fine with me.

A self made guy who worked as a Janitor while putting himself through college is a whole hell of a lot more interesting and makes me feel much more secure than the human waste statute we have as speaker at the moment.

Hmm sounds like he has drive and determination weird a presumably tough and diciplined guy would cry so much

I'm about at the point where there isn't much more I can learn on the poli board.

Instead of defneding Boehner's position of "I refuse to compromise on any issue" it turns into an obama bash fest.

Come on fellahs... is saying "The repubs won't move an inch for obama for the next 2 years" a wise move?  Anyone with an educated idea to chip in?

who gives a fuck?

I can understand sandras persective which everyone overlooked in that as a man it is ok for him to cry as opposed to palin or clinton.

but honestly who gives a fuck?

its sad that some ppl want to criticize him for this as if its a reflection on his performance or policy...

to be honest id rather have had pelosi cry every damn day than pass half of the idiotic legislation her and obama have over the last 2 years...

but yea you guys are right boehner crying is the big deal here  ::)

LOL that I agree on, that was political grandstanding...

I honestly understood what he was saying he said it in a horrible way...finding common ground doesnt mean compromising on your principles...

props for that.

IMO he's so afraid of losing 'tea party' supporters for 2012 that he feels obligated to carry their "our way or the highway" irrational screams forward.

It's the senate's JOB to work with each other - find compromises that best serve the needs of the nation.  First they promise to stop EVERY SINGLE BILL til they get their way on Bush tax cuts.  So Obama caves 100%.  Then, after their gloating victory party, they refuse to give health benefits to 911 first responders, until the Dem Senate caves 100% as well.  it's irrational.

Then, he follows it with "We won't compromise on any issue" - that's just madness.  And it'll really give obama SOLID quotes to use in 2012.  Obama can now say "i gave them what they wanted in Dec 2010 - the bush tax cuts.  They responded by STILl giving the finger to 911 responders, then announcing they still refuse to work across the aisle".

This will really help obama.

dude first of all your beginning to be no better than blacken or benny...did you watch the interview? if yes then why do you continually take only part of what he said out of context?

what he said is that they will work together but he will not compromise on why he was sent to washington..you mean a person who does what they say they will do? thats HORRIBLE!!!  ::)

2nd you like to hold that 9/11 responders bill up like the dems want you do to(way to go you tool)

sorry broham the economy has been put on the back burner for 2 years READ THAT AGAIN 2 FUKING YEARS...where was this bill during that time?

you want to call boehner out for political grandstanding and then hold an obvious attempt to politically grandstand as something to be proud of?

fuking really??? is it any wonder that around here youre no better than blacken or mons? I mean seriously?

When are you fuckwads going to realize that there are no tax cuts-- the tax code from the past decade is just going to remain in tact for everyone until 2012. The comprimise that was allegedly made isn't a comprimise at all. It's just status quo so the economy doesn't become more of a disaster than it already is.

He cries, I think there is a case of emotional stability when touching on his childhood, the waterworks flow.
he won't use the word compromise but did reach "common ground"  with the white house about the tax cuts, unemployment insurance, and all of the other "pork" in this bill.
How much more does that add to the national deficit again?
Politics, everything old is new again.

One good thing about Boehner, he does a great job of keeping his family out of the spotlight.
