plz help:i need to get some new clothes

Hello,
I'm going to a function this weekend.
I need to dress nice...its gonna be casual

No blazer, no tie, just casual.

I don't know what to get.

I cant decide on either really dark jeans, or kacki cargo pants, or corduroy pants?

For shirts, I dont know whether to get a nice sweater, like Calvin Klein, or a nice warm long sleeve with a zipper, like from abercrombie

What kind of shoes are good? All I own are sneakers.

These were my 2 ideas:
Dark jeans and Calvin Klein Sweater or gray abercrombie long sleeve t with a mini zipper on the front by the neck
Or Corduroys and the CK sweater or Aber long sleeve

Or are none of those good ideas?

The long sleeve T-shirt may be a little too casual if it is T-shirt material but the others sound good.

Although if you are going to buy something try not to buy anything made in China if you can.

Also you may look at some shoes like these for a nice casual look.

I think you'd be sweating like a pig in cords and a sweater.  Holiday parties always seem to be very warm.

Honestly, I don't think cords are a good look on a man IMO.

Go with a nice pair of loose fitting jeans, button down shirt with a nice sweater vest over it ( DONT TUCK IN THE SHIRT)
