cloud computing is just remote storage, this is not new and has been there for year..think xdrive, google docs, also you can use FTP

Amazon S3 has been around for years and of course Microsoft Azure...Windows phone 7 is all cloud storage as well. lets see how cloud storage works in the subways of NYC or "airplane mode".  Also what happens on public wifi, lets see if the encryption holds up.

Terminal server has been around for years in the business environment. This is just getting it out to the public.

Yes "cloud" has been out for a long time...just like social networking sites.

How is the lab study going along TA?

No offense Chief of Staff but pretty much from day one I started posting on here I've been hearing about you getting your Cisco shit on the road.... hope it happens soon traffic isn't going to slow down anytime soon but make sure you do before cisco becomes obsolete or I fly east andfuck your raw for lagging like a bitch...  :-X

regarding the "cloud", oh brother... chrome is just scratching the surface and honestly so 2008... I eat that shit all day long; my company (Teradata) has been solely focused on "big data" and datawarehousing for over 25 years... recently we've been partnering with Cloudera and other Hadoop-like vendors to provide grid-like processing on unstructured data; this is what the "cloud" is; it's not "remote storage", it's not just "EC3" although they've done a good job... it's about pure distributed processing on demand, just a couple of clicks away... now wipe the cum out of your mouth and make sure you pass these tests pronto because traffic's up big time; no one wants a server farm on their property no more.

i made my first unprepared attempt at the CCIE in 2002...i passed my CCNP....passed the CCIE written ...paid for the CCIE ($1250) and then did not study cause i ws teaching...and since i had already paid for it (no refunds)..i showed up 9 months later...and actually did well for an unprepped guy (CCIE3.0)..i failed...since then ...i ALWAYS told people i ws prepping for my CCIE...it became my verbal modus operandi even though all i ws doing ws teaching....it made me feel better inside...sorta

i honestly started studying last may...
step 1 ws reading all the books    http://www.ine.com/resources/cciebooks.htm

no offence taken...but i'm honestly on my way  :)

however...with the CCIE 4.0....there r no guarantees....lets hope at the end of the day i'm smart enough to pass...not everyone on this planet is smart enough to get a physics PHD..no matter how hard they work...sorta the same with the CCIE...i dont know till i try but i also dont know if hard work will be enough....i simply might not have the IQ

below...the CCIE 4.0 blueprint.....as you can see...if you bother clicking the link....it takes time

http://blog.ine.com/2009/05/12/ccie-rs-4x-expanded-study-blueprint/

o yeah../.since that blue print...u can add zone based firewalls...

i have no idea what zonebased firewalls r....i'm sure i can learn and implement them on the go....

but can i solve a CCIe level question on them...where they ask you to make a car work as a unicycle and viceversa...i dunno...

anyhow...

this article by Scott Morris...quad CCIE puts stuff in perspective
i dont think anyone is actually gonna read it...but ..this is for alex

www.openbsd.org can repalce all cisco routers, and since once it running it on a modern 4 core cpu will run fast as hell compard to cheap ass cisco hardware.

Most free unixes can as well but openbsd is really really good esp with openBGP :)

so companies that are obsolete:
microsoft
cisco
oracle
:)

I am trying this on an archlinux pc with icewm desktop.
p4 1700 with 1500m ram and it runs faster than most quad core winodws 7 pc
I use opera browser, pidgin chat, and vlc movie player :)
oh an flash and youtube work fine :)
