Dubai, The Promised Land for all the rich schmoes...
I thought that Dubai pretty much went bust as a result of the financial crisis (as it was more a house of cards than a real economy anyway). They are now living from handouts by their wealthy neighbour (Abu Dhabi...)
Dubai does not have any oil, so they can't just pump it out of the ground and throw money around like some others in the region do.
