i agree.. back in the day the ghetto was the ghetto, meaning don't fucking go there and you won't have a problem.

today the ghetto finds you.  they come out to the surrounding areas (streets, malls, bars, etc.) and fuck with people who have something to lose.  the world is smaller today.  the city's problems are YOUR problems and will come to your neighborhood.

my solution- concealed carry for everyone (especially women), liberal application of death/life sentencing, high explosives applied to high crime zip codes, clear drug testing for ANY gov't handouts, mass sterilization of anyone convicted of CDS- not marijuana/theft/burglary/forgery, and you can't vote unless you earn over $45k per year/are employed/have honorable military service/and are over 25 yrs old.

.. i may be over-reaching but i can dream!  :D

i think you are not far off the mark here. except for the concealed bit.

itd be a powderkeg waiting to go off. arrest and jail people with weapons. ive heard all the pro-gun arguments.they sound fine in theory but in reality they are lame. weapons are for a country already beyond the brink.

No, dude was wrong for what he did (the stabbing), but, had she not thrown the ice...nothing would have went down...action, reaction...like the Frenchman said, "Causality...I drank too much, now I have to take a piss."

Nothing had to go down regardless , ultimately he had the power it's all his fault.

I also think that alcohol had  some play in all three people...

If she wanted a person's attention, she should have gone over to the person. Either way, her action started the chain reaction, which was oddly omitted from the news article...wonder why? Because they wanted dude to look like a hero.

None of that matters Parker. The only reaction that really matters is the guy that stabbed the other guy...

Chain reaction my ass, you're making excuses for the perp...I understand you know he actions weren't right but you're doing the same thing we spoke about, making excuses for perps...

I don't make excuses, I said dude was wrong, and I'll say this, if he got life or the death penalty, good. But as you just stated the only reaction is the dude who stabbed the other... But, you cannot ignore the chain reaction. You cannot...and also, it speaks louder to another issue, a lot of women start shit and think that her man will handle shit. There are tons of situations when a woman has started shit in the club, mouthing off, with a dude...and her man comes in to the rescue like superman...outside the club, he's not superman because he's not bullet proof...full clip empty out in him.

A person cannot control what other people do, but they can control their own actions, hence no throwing in a bar to get another's attention, because she got the wrong person's attention.

This is what it is: girl throws ice, hits wrong person---->dude takes notices confronts hers---->he rboyfriend confronts dude--->dude stabs boyfriend.

It started with her actions. It ended with two lives gone. The man who was stabbed died, the man who did, is locked up.

So if you innocuosly throw ice at your friend you now have to worry about getting stabbed in the neck if your aim is off and you hit some guys shoulder? If you want to talk about chain reaction why stop there? How far back do we go? Shit happens all the time. The last time you were at the mall and someone bumped into you or stepped on your shoe did you swing at them with an axe or pull out a gun and shoot?

But a person can control their actions and when those actions result in breaking laws, law enforcement isn't going to take any mitigating factors such as she threw ice at him, even if it was on purpose and boyfriend got in involved.  I feel absolutely ZERO sorry for the man who stabbed the other man.  He deserved to rot in prison for the rest of his days.

So while yes, you're right about chain reactions, once again the only actions that matter are the ones he took when he decided to stab the man in the neck...end of story.
You sound like you'd make an excuse for a bunch of bikers that would beat up black for coming into "their" bar...The black knew it was a biker bar, he should have left right?  Staying their and getting his ass kicked was his fault right?

in·noc·u·ous (-nky-s)
adj.
1. Having no adverse effect; harmless.
2. Not likely to offend or provoke to strong emotion; insipid

If a person throws ice or a drink, they are trying to get someone's attention or to evoke some type of response..She got the wrong person's attention...

yes, shit happens all the time, but i'm willing to bet that most on here, if they were in a bar, had consumed some drinks, and then some ice all of a sudden hit them, would say, "WTF!", and be pissed, and curse the girl out. Of course, they would not take it to the extreme (I hope not) of stabbing somebody. But, I think nobody is gonna smile and Cheese and say, "Shit happens"

Being in a mall and being at a bar are two diff environments...in a mall if someone randomly steps on your foot, of course it's accident, and of course i would do anything..

there are muthafckers out there that will kill you if you looked at them wrong, they have some serious "respect" and logic issues. Most people would not act in that way

I went to a biker bar, some place down in VA, don't know what it was, and I got that "look", and i just had to go to the bathroom...they had some race on the TV, and I asked what was going on...got to talking, about cars, and it was wrap...Bro I'm the shit  ;D

And i didn't get beat up...and no it wasn't luck.

Try picking another scenario, one that makes sense. Somethin like this:

You just got through waxing you brand new 2010 M3,  guys are out in the street playing ball. One dude to get your attention, throws the ball and it hits your car, denting it. What happens Wiggs, What happens...

I forgot to add after having drank "a couple of beers" (the typical answer a drunk driver gives)

I was on a date once at an upscale bar/restaurant. There was a group of people at the table beside ours, all about mid 20s-30s. I was 25 at the time. Anyway, they were pretty obnoxious and the guy closest to me had his back facing me sitting down in a chair. He kept leaning back on it so only 2 of the four legs on the chair were touching the ground and he was very close to me. He had a vodka/cranberry ( i think it was since it was red in a glass) in his hand. I think the chair almost gave out on him or something because half his drink landed on my white dress shirt. I just sat and looked down at the mess shaking my head. He didn't even know he did it but the people at the table all went silent but nobody said anything to him so he didn't even apologize. I wanted to smash him in the back of the head. I was on a first date and didn't want to wreck it. I was going to tell the guy to be more careful but seeing as he didn't know he did it he probably would have told me to fuck off and then I would've smashed him for sure. It amazes me how dumb some people are. This was a new shirt too and never got the stain out and never wore it again. It cost me about 60 bucks if I remember right. lol

understandable...now amplify that by someone who has a lil liquid courage in him and lack of common sense..what would that person have done in your shoes?

What people fail to realize, if some shit popped off and they were the defendant, they'd want everybody to hear their story...it's evident in many of these, "So I was at the gym, I was in the Club,  I was in the store"  stories. Odd how it's never I got the shit smacked out of me, or he fucked me up, or I fucked him up...

I wouldn't be in an area where there are guys playing street ball.
But for your arguments sake, I'd drive off to an area where I can still see the offender and call the cops...I'm not going to argue with a bunch of thugs...And since I do have a permit to carry a concealed weapon here in NV, no, I'm not going to pop one in him...that's too easy especially for a black fella.

BTW your one instance in the biker bar is hardly what would happen in most cases...nice try though...

I also added you having a couple of beers...and you don't live in a area where some dudes might want to toss around a football? Like during a half time, some 20-25 yr olds wanna act like Manning...i didn't say thugs, they don't have to be thugs, that never entered the equation.

The reason why I added the couple of beers, is because no one, and i mean no one knows what they will do with a little bit of alcohol in their system. And if you did drive off to a area, and then call the cops, and then give your story to the cops, chances are you'd be arrested for DUI or DWI

Nice try Parker, you're trying to put someone in a situation that some would never put themselves in...
1. I don't drink and drive....EVER
2. Like I said, I wouldn't be in an area where there is streetball or whatever...thugs don't have to be black thugs are guys that throw balls at peoples cars to get their attention,

try a scenario that anyone would be in, not some trap that not too many people would be in.

People can play streetball anywhere unless you live on the Space Station...it could be just throwing a ball around.

You and I could be leaving the house, i joke around with a football, your back is turned, and i want to get your attention, and I throw the ball, it hits your car (that is just a situation I gave to illustrate "streetball")

I think most people would have told him to be more careful or cursed him out. The odd nut ball would have punched him in the head, but I think that's the very odd nut ball. I think 95% of people would have kept their hands to themselves. I didn't say anything simply because I knew the guy was drunk, was pretty sure he wasn't going to say sorry, and I would have just got more upset and possibly gotten in a fight. This was like 8 years ago and was gettin pretty soft. I'm even softer now days. It's so hard for me to get to the point where I really want to hit someone. I fought a lot in my teens and early 20s but for some reason it scares the shit out of me to hit someone now days.

Yes, people can play streetball anywhere but it's not something that's a common occurrence where I stay....

I see what you're trying to do and it's not going to work...so since I stay strapped up I guess I should say I flash my gat and say, one of you muthafuckas are gonna pay fa dis! and when they say something I don't like then I shoot them or they shoot me...

I'm too smart for that...I'd shoot them a month later...all of em...how's that?

I know a place that within 5 steps of the front door 2 guys would be turning you around and politely escorting you out. Never saw anyone struggle so I can't tell you what would happen if they did. :)
