Question...first responders and EMS are usually civil servants, most of whom have very good health insurance. What was it about their conditions that cost them outside of the insurance they have been provided.
I'm all for taking care of these folks though...just wondering.
im not an expert on the ins and outs of the situation only started paying closer attention after blackens idiocy.
from what I can tell some of the clean up workers where contracted by independent companies to clear ground zero. While doing this they were injured or became sick or are now becoming sick and they were told to sue the companies that contracted them for medical bills.
Side Note: the guy this bill is named after supposedly was killed by after effects of being exposed to the ground zero enviroment although it is recorded or something that he died from prescription drug abuse.
