she has zero interest in public service and quit her job as soon as she saw a chance to personally enrich herself abadoning the people who gave her the job in the first place

Her sole source of income is based on the pretense that she might be a candidate so she will continue to be coy and feign interest until the last possible minute at which she will make some claim about having consulted with her family and deciding it wasn't the right time or some other such nonsense

I don't think money is really the issue.  The presidency is extremely lucrative.  She'll make a bunch of money if she doesn't run.  She'll make a bunch of money if she runs and wins.  Running and losing might hurt her financially, but she'll still be marketable.

Palin knows,,,her limits lets just I know this she can charm the people so far,,,but beyond that she cant do nothing she has no charisma such as obama,,,lets put it this way BB if she ran and lost she would have to donate all that money back into something she does not get to keep it she is already marketable as is and running for presidency does not change that fact,,,,she is marketbale running or not she would lose alot of money if she did ran considering the fact it takes upwards in hundred millions of dollars just to run,,,,

He was talked about in 2006 and 2007 like Palin is talked about now - and his negative message (reminding fear, spitting venom instead of instilling hope) sure cost him points everywhere he went.  He's not NEARLY as seen these days.

Tossing the perception of her competence out the window (which is already a big problem) - her VENOM alone just woulnd't play well with moderate voters.

So while I fear she'll run (and usher in 4 more years of obama's antics) - she would be smart money-wise to be nothing but a sharp edged attack dog for the candidate.

Palin is actually very charismatic.  She also did very well endorsing candidates this past election.  Much better than Obama in fact.  She's a force. 

I agree she needs to raise hundreds of millions to have a successful campaign, but that is true of whomever gets the nomination.  Obama had $600 mil in 08.  Just an obscene amount of money. 

That said, I don't think she's going to run.  She'll be much more effective supporting candidates around the country, keeping people focused on the issues, etc.  She's good for the country.

Not much of a comparison.  He didn't have his own national TV show.  He wasn't all over the print media.  He wasn't successfully endorsing candidates from coast to coast.  His star power wasn't nearly as good.  He did a great job as mayor of NYC and handling 911, but he ran a lousy national campaign.  His marital and family problems didn't help either.   

I actually thought he was going to be the nominee (along with Hillary).

Guliani was my first choice because he seemed to be the only Republican talking in detail about healthcare, and he was very good about articulating the reasons for the high health care costs, how to get them down, and why the Democrats' plan was the wrong way to go.

Its too bad he made the bad judgement to concentrate only on Florida in 2008.

Charismatic people have the ability to motivate folks to action.  She has done that numerous times.  She's not just a pretty face.
