I just want to add that it's refreshing to read a six page thread on Getbig where people are discussing a subject with intelligent and insightful (for the most part) discourse. Applause is in order.  :)

And yes, Buddy Rich was in a league of his own. Gene Krupa was pretty damn good as well...
