you said before that your about 6ft 1inch 185pounds. Out of curiosity what do your calfs measure? Not bad for 50 yrs old but your no JOhn Romano LOL

Just a bit over 16 inches. Something like 16 1/4. I hardly train them any more. Just a set each of one leg calf raises for around 15-20 reps on leg day as part of my warm up. They use to be a polio-like 14 inches. Then there was a two year period in my thirties when I just became obsessed with them. Train them like a maniac. Even had dreams/nightmares about them. It was very strange. I'm sure uberman can explain it. Definitely a time in my life where it was a manifestation of crying out for help.
I'm OK now. Well, not really. I just don't train calves anymore. BTW, I partially tore my right calf running the hill in Sand Dune Park in Manhattan Beach, CA. Coach is well acquainted with that hill. That's why it's kind of bunched up a bit. Especially when my ankle is extend like it is a bit in that pic. The left calf is more normal looking.
