What we have seen in two years is he can read a teleprompter, is average-to-bad without his teleprompter, has problems admitting mistakes, broke a number campaign promises, thinks very highly of himself, etc.  He really does not sound like an intellectual (unless he his reading something).

Intelligence isn't just about IQ.  It's about common sense, integrity, humility, etc.

Agree.  The fact he was able to convince his own party to vote for controversial legislation is not an accomplishment.  The fact he could not get bipartisan support for much of his agenda is a failure, particularly when he preached bipartisanship during the campaign.

Well, technically he'll claim "bipartisanship" because he got some RINOs to go along with his programs. But even then, he had to capitulate with the tax cuts to get that done.

Capacity and aptitude.  Obama destroys palin on those.

You can argue she has more common sense, she is more humble, she has greater integrity, and you may be right.  But those do not fall under the auspices of intelligence by the primary definition.  Hope this clears things up for ya bro.

Without his writings, SAT, LSAT, or anything else - you cant say he is any smarter than she is. 

She was a mayor, Governor, president of energy commission, etc.  Her accomplishments stack up better than his.

Not necessarily.  He had a huge advantage over most American kids because he went to one of the best high schools in the country (Punahou).  Punahou graduates routinely get into Ivy League schools.  They make up probably close to half the professional class in Hawaii.  That gave him a tremendous advantage.
