Failed South Carolina candidate Greene to try again
By: CNN Senior Producer Kevin Bohn

Washington (CNN) - Alvin Greene, the surprise Democratic nominee in the South Carolina Senate race against incumbent Republican Sen. Jim DeMint, is trying it again.

This time he is running for a State House seat vacated when Democratic Rep. Cathy Harvin died. Greene filed the necessary paperwork and the $165 fee with the Clarendon County Democratic Party on December 24, according to county chairman Cal Land. Greene is expected to be one of at least three candidates running in the February 15 primary. The general election is April 5.

Greene, a political novice, shocked the political world in South Carolina when he emerged as the winner in the Democratic primary for Senate last summer. Party officials urged him to withdraw from the contest when news emerged that he had previously been charged with showing pornographic images to a college student, but he refused to bow out. He did not mount much of a campaign for the Senate seat.
DeMint soundly defeated him.

He said he would run on the same issues as he did in his Senate contest.

“It is the same situation. We have to end the recession. That is the bottom line,” he said in a telephone interview.
“The goal in the Senate race is the goal in any other race.”

When asked more about his goals for the campaign, he said, “That is it,” and hung up.

Greene is facing misdemeanor and felony charges and is expected to go on trial soon.

You're likely the biggest Sarah Palin fan on the board, so let me ask you- do you think she would be as popular as she is now had she proven herself to be, at the very least, modestly competent in campaigning? What I mean by that is that she clearly became a media darling on the right primarily because you guys believed she was "persecuted" by the "liberal media" and a lot of her ascendancy was reactionary. Had she managed to bone up on a few issues before her big Katie Couric interviews and managed to give a lackluster but unremarkable showing don't you think she would have just faded back into obscurity after McCain lost?

As much as I would like?  No.

However, on th issues that matter to me - she is light years ahead of Obama.

On energy alone she should be chosen over Obama.   Obama is INTENTIONALLY trying to skyrocket our heating prices.  to me, to hurt middle class and lower class people to pursue his radical enviro-marxist communist agenda is pure evil.

Fuck him - I'll trust Sarah over what we have now any day.   He can take his "transformative" agenda and jump off a tall bulding with it for all I care.

The left ABSOLUTELY LOVES Palin.  Without a doubt.  She's brought up a great deal.

Why?  Cause she's polling 10 to 20 points lower than any other republican against obama.

Simply put - if she wins the nomination, there's a lot better chance obama keeps his job in 2012.

333386, while he likes to look at boobies, knows this as well.  And while he responds with "I like Thune!", he sure ain't posting about Thune 600 times a week.

new poll:  CNN/opinion research poll...palin slides, Obama surges

Palin has dropped 18 points among REPUBS since 2008.

Pawlenty starting a new PR tour in a few weeks.

Huck is leading among GOp frontrunners.

perhaps repubs will do the smart thing and put up a non-Palin candidate so Obama can be a one-termer.  But, alas, I believe so many of them will choose a winking "baby girl" over someone who can beat obama.

Like I said - I will vote for a serial killer over obama and day of the week.  Even the most hardened murderer would not impose slavery on people like obama is trying to do.

In my entire lifetime, I never seen such a vile communist pos like Obama in public life committed to destruction of this nation.

Even rapists, murderers, and bank robbers would be better than Obama.

Thune is not even showing interest in running.   Why would I post about him?

Additionally, I already have said that I will vote for the GOP noinee no matter who it is, Madoff, Vandersloot, Richard Ramirez, Davd Berkowitz, BTK Killer, whoever.

Chimps in the zoo have more common sense thn Obama.

Yeah, she's better off as a media personality. At one point, several on this board were claiming she inexplicably struck fear into the hearts of the left, but if even her number one panty sniffer can admit she's basically just an emotional charity case, then she can just pack it up.
