Watch your mouth, convict. I happen to be an Aussie. An Aussie who would rather watch paint dry than watch cricket.
just because you have a certificate that says you were born in australia, or are an australian citizen doesnt mean you are an "aussie".
"aussies" love cricket and footy, the beach, beer, and sticking it up the yanks, poms and kiwis.
if any of these things are missing, you are not an aussie.
for the record the cricket isnt a big achievement..i mean, defeating a country thats a fraction of your size in a game that you invented and hadnt been done in 20 years is, well, underachievement.
the australian cricket team chosen is shit. you were lucky that the selectors are stuck in the 1950s and didnt pick players that could actually play.
fairs fair though, the poms played well...but when you've got 2/3-3/4 of your side that are from south africa, its a VERY hollow victory.
we all laughed our heads off watching the south africans singing "god save the queen"
now, south africa- another country a fraction of the size of england (population)- and you cant beat them either!..unless you field a team of migrants...lol
thanks for letting me put it into perspective.
