You know Mexico is prolly quite cheap around this time---you know, when you have a war going on in country---a lot of people don't want to visit there---hell, the Mexicans have bee leaving for a while...and don't want to go back.

Oh brother, sounds like you hardly get to travel.  Mexican resorts are about the same price as other places in the Carribean where no drug war is going on like the Dominican or Cuba.  Actually if you look at the # of non-stop hotels from Riviera Maya to Cancun it makes Vegas look likea ghost town.  No shortage of tourists wanting to go there.

Thanks Groink, and you're right I feel pretty flattered that so many friends travelled so far to join us, which made the wedding and the vacation in general very memorable.

We didn't get a group shot of everybody in one picture (which we should have).  This is closest to it, with 19 of us in the picture but in total 38 travelled (which includes some kids of guests, but still, a bigger group than we expected would join us)

These are from Playa del Carmen 5th ave, a long stretch of touristy shops with souvenirs, pharmacies (which carry everything lol), restaurants (some American chains but mostly Mexican food), relaxation massage (since labour is cheap there you can get a professional massage for about $20-25/hr), pubs, etc.
