Obama Golfs with His Personal Chef
White House Dossier ^ | Oct. 9, 2011 | Keith Koffler

Taking a break from conducting class warfare, President Obama yesterday loaded up his twelve-car motorcade and went golfing for the 25th time this year, heading out with White House chef and healthy food guru Sam Kass.

Kass was also personal chef for the “spread the wealth around” Obama and his family back in Chicago before assuming the role of White House chef.

From yesterday’s pool reports.

On this sunny Saturday, POTUS is at Joint Base Andrews for a golf outing before heading (to) Camp David. A 12-vehicle motorcade departed the White House at

11:07 a.m. Brief sighting of the president in a thin blue jacket.

Later . . .

With the golfing accomplished, the president boarded Marine One at 4:40 pm at Andrews and four minutes later headed to Camp David for the night. Obama emerged from his SUV in a gray baseball cap, blue polo shirt and khakis and gave a quick salute to the two Marines at the helo before jumping on board.

Pool did not see any advisers traveling with the president.

‘Twas a beautiful day for golfing with a high around 73 and not a cloud in the sky.

Completing the foursome for yesterday’s golf outing – the 83rd of his presidency - were White House trip director Marvin Nicholson and Marvin’s lucky brother Walter.

President Obama Golfing With Pal Nabbed in Prostitution Sting

HONOLULU, Hawaii — President Obama is golfing at Mamala Bay Golf Course at Hickam Air Force Base in a group that includes White House travel director Marvin Nicholson and Hawaiian pal Robert “Bobby” Titcomb, who was arrested in April on suspicion of soliciting a prostitute.

In April, Titcomb was one of four men arrested in an undercover prostitution sting operation, according to Honolulu police.

Titcomb, an airline employee and commercial fisherman, has been friends with the president since they attended Honolulu’s elite Punahou School together in the 1970s. He has visited the White House on numerous occasions to see the president, most recently in August for Obama’s birthday, when he was included in a round of golf with Obama’s closest friends at the links of Andrews Air Force Base. Afterwards Titcomb, among other friends, joined the president for a barbeque at the White House.

When the Obama family vacations in Hawaii over the Christmas holiday each year, they traditionally spend a full day at Titcomb’s North Shore home, jet-skiing, grilling, and playing volleyball. In December the Obama family spent nearly the whole day at his home. Titcomb is also included in the golf and basketball outings of President Obama while in Hawaii.

In a Punahou remembrance of Obama, Titcomb said of the president, “He’s honest, he’s truthful and he’s always encouraged the better things in you. And you always go back to those people who water your plant, who water your garden.”

Obama Plays Golf for the 30th Time This Year
by KEITH KOFFLER on NOVEMBER 25, 2011, 3:21 PM
It is an unseasonably warm 65 degrees in the Washington area, and President Obama has bolted out of the White House to go golfing.

It’s his 30th time golfing this year and the 88th golf outing of his presidency.

He’s at the Andrews Air Force base course with one of his usual crew, White House trip director Martin Nicholson, as well as Marvin’s brother Walter and Reggie Love.

Love, who is Obama’s personal assistant – or “body man” – is not usually a golfing companion. So the outing may be a farewell gift to Reggie, who is leaving by the end of the year.

Obama Spends Christmas Eve Golfing in Hawaii
Fox News ^ | 12/24/11 | NewsCore
Posted on December 24, 2011 9:58:34 PM EST by Nachum

HONOLULU – It may have been a week later than he had hoped, but US President Barack Obama finally hit the links in Hawaii Saturday on his first full day of vacation.

Obama touched down in the Aloha State Friday night after signing a bill in Washington extending the payroll tax cut for two months.

The president had delayed his departure for Hawaii amid the tax cut stalemate, with his wife Michelle and daughters Malia and Sasha leaving as planned on Dec. 17.

Obama Golfs for the 90th Time as President
by Keith Koffler on December 26, 2011, 9:07 pm

After an hour of hiking, President Obama Monday got down to the serious business at hand, heading out to golf for the second day in his first three days of vacation. He was back on the course at Marine Corps Base Hawaii.

With this one, Obama reaches a new milestone, having gone golfing 90 times in less than three years as president. That’s about three months of golf, given that the excursions generally take about five hours – much of the useful portion of the day.

What’s more, it’s the 32nd time he’s been on the links this year, a record for the president. His 32 outings eclipses the 2010 mark of 30 and is far ahead of his 2009 tally of 28 rounds as president.

And remember, there are still five days left in the year for Obama to pad his new record, which he almost certainly will.

Along for Monday’s round were three of Obama’s Hawaii friends, Mike Ramos, Greg Orme and Bobby Titcomb. The latter, you may remember, was arrested in April in a prostitution sting.

Fore! King Putt Obama goes golfing for a record 93rd time as wife and kids party in Las Vegas
Fire Andrea Michelle ^ | April 1, 2012
Posted on April 1, 2012 8:08:04 PM EDT by opentalk

I guess the weather is finally warm enough on the east coast for King Putt Obama to resume hitting the links. After all, there’s nothing really happening in this country or elsewhere that could affect this country. It’s not like we have skyrocketing gas prices, a lousy economy, Iran getting a nuclear weapon or anything like that.

While Michelle Obama took the kids to Las Vegas to party it up on the American tax payer’s dollar (just a week after the oldest daughter went on a secret vacation to Mexico with 25 secret service agents on 12 friends) Hussein Obama himself decided he needed a little rest and relaxation too. Obama has now hit the links 93 times in under four years, easily a record for any past president.

Romney: Obama "Should Suck It Up" When It Comes To Golf

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2012/04/18/romney_obama_should_suck_it_up_when_it_comes_to_golf.html

"I must admit, I scratch my head at the capacity of the president to take four hours off on such a regular basis to go golfing," Mitt Romney said on Bill Cunningham's radio program on WLW-AM.

I would think you could kind of suck it up for four years particularly when the American people are out of work," he added.

LOL- ROMNEY IS GOING TO BE A MUCH BETTER NOMINEE THAN MCCAIN.

Under sunny skies, Obama hits the links (The rookie Hussein faces tough choices in Syria)

Under sunny skies, Obama hits the links
By Mike Lillis - 04/21/12 01:38 PM ET

President Obama took advantage of gorgeous weather around Washington on Saturday morning to hit the golf course, his third round this year.

The president and his entourage – Vice President Joe Biden, White House staffer Mike Brush and Marvin Nicholson, the trip director – arrived at the Andrews Air Force Base Golf Course a little after 11 a.m., when temperatures were hovering just below 80 degrees.

The outing is the latest indication Obama doesn't intend to steer clear of the links in the face of recent criticisms from Mitt Romney that the president should be focusing more on the economy and less on the greens.

"I must say I scratch my head at the capacity of the president to take four hours off on such a regular basis to go golfing," Romney told conservative radio host Bill Cunningham on Wednesday. "I would think you could kind of suck it up for four years, particularly when the American people are out of work."

The White House has defended Obama's golf outings, arguing that the president has ever right to take a break from the daily grind for some R&R.

The foursome might have to race. Local forecasters are predicting afternoon thunderstorms at Andrews.

Obama’s 100th golf round -- President putters while economy sputters
Washington Times ^ | June 14, 2012 | Emily Miller
Posted on June 15, 2012 12:28:45 AM EDT by Zakeet

The next time President Obama hits the links, it will be his 100th round of golf since coming to the White House. That’s quite a milestone in just 3 1/2 years. As it takes him about six hours to drive to the greens and complete 18 holes, Mr. Obama has spent the equivalent of four months’ worth of work time golfing. Meanwhile, the U.S. economy has been stuck in a sand trap.

Before Mr. Obama teed off for the first time as president, he delivered a State of the Union address that promised his new stimulus bill would “save or create 3.5 million jobs.” At that time, February 2009, unemployment was 8.3 percent and the debt was $10.8 trillion. He kicked off the golf streak on April 26, 2009, and he played a total of 27 rounds in his first year.

When he returned to the Capitol the following year, he stood in front of then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi with unemployment at 9.7 percent. He asked the Democratic Congress for a second stimulus and an overhaul of the health care system, and Congress obliged. Mr. Obama also said he would freeze government spending for three years, starting in 2011, but that idea got lost in the woods during the 31 golf games he played in 2010, using his personalized “44” Titleist balls, which remind haughty caddies he’s the 44th president.

[Snip]

Last year, the number of Mr. Obama’s golf outings rose to 33, and many turned out to be memorable. He was on the green on May 1, 2011, when the Navy SEALs were en route to Pakistan, cutting his game to nine holes to hear of their successful mission against Osama bin Laden.

Obama Plays Golf for the 100th Time of his Presidency
by KEITH KOFFLER on JUNE 17, 2012, 12:40 PM
President Obama rolled out of his Hyde Park, Chicago home this morning and headed to out to play his 100th round of golf since becoming president.

Obama is playing with two old pals, Eric Whitaker and Marty Nesbitt, as well as regular golf companion Marvin Nicholson, the White House trip director.

Obama has already played golf eight times this year. He actually is a little off his normal pace – perhaps campaigning is intruding on golf. The president golfed 28 times in 2009, 30 times in 2010, and an incredible 34 times in 2011.

Obama’s golfing takes about five hours, including the motorcades back and forth from the fairways. If one thinks of this as taking up  much of the day – include getting ready to go and cooling off afterward – its fair to say that Obama has spent more than three months of his presidency golfing.

While golf is played by millions of Americans and extends its reach well into the middle class, it is also perceived as a game of the idle rich and is generally unavailable to the poor, putting Obama’s frequent outings at odds with his image as a man of “hope” for the dispossessed.

The White House carefully downplays Obama’s golfing, rarely talking about it and releasing few pictures of the president swinging away. A search of the White House uploads on the Flickr photo-sharing website finds only a handful of shots of the president playing golf, compared to nearly two dozen of him playing basketball, which he spends far less time at.

Many argue that golf provides a badly needed source of relaxation for Obama, a refuge and a respite from extraordinary demands of the presidency. And most or all of Obama’s golf days have been on weekends or during scheduled vacations.

But others say the president could find another way to relax, and that golfing sends the wrong message to the poor and to the troops during a time of economic struggle and war.

George W. Bush gave up golfing in 2003, explaining his rationale five years later in an interview with POLITICO, saying it was wrong to play during wartime:

I don’t want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the commander in chief playing golf. I feel I owe it to the families to be in solidarity as best as I can with them. And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal.

Obama clearly disagrees and has been unperturbed by criticism of his golf, maintaining a steady pace even during an election year.

Bush did NOT give up golf in 2003.

It has been documented numerous times that he played long after he said he wouldn't.

Obama was supposed to be the anti-Bush remember?

Obama blames everyone else for not working while he parties, hangs it up,  hangs out, fundraises every day, etc etc.

He is a fraud and con man of the highest order.

I know what you're saying and that's fine.

But let's tell the truth.
