Other than Christianity does any other belief system/religion's book(s) or teachings cover anything like the Mark of the Beast?

I've heard a similar theory...Muslims eventually clone Muhammad using his bones which are buried in Medina, Muhammad unites all Muslims around the world, Muslims and the Roman Catholic church unite to take over the world, Muhammad becomes the anti-Christ while the acting Pope becomes the false prophet performing wonders and miracles, then Muhammad and all Muslims turn on the Roman Catholic Church and all who aren't Muslims.  The statue in Daniel's dream had feet made out of clay and metal.  The Roman Catholics and the Muslims are the clay and metal, which do not mix.  Besides the Roman Catholics, the only other religious group which venerates the virgin Mary just as much is the Muslims.  OPEC is made out of Muslim and predominantly Roman Catholic nations.

Long ago I heard a theory that it would possibly be a Jew because the Jews wouldn't follow a Muslim or a Catholic and for the first 1/2 of the tribulation Judaism will be revived, temple and all.   

But I guess they wouldn't actually have to "follow" the "leader" that they sign the peace treaty with at all....  at least they wouldn't be forced to (or die) until the last half of the trib.

Did you really hear that or are you joking? 

He supposedly will be very charismatic and intelligent etc.  The charismatic part is where a lot of people wondered about Obama.  I think that some people may think whomever is on the scene as a famous leader at any given time could be him though.
