Ashton Kutcher is in hard training for the apocalypse, but this no big screen role: he's afraid that armageddon is coming.

Speaking to Men's Fitness, Kutcher predicts that the "end of days" is on its way, and he wants to be prepared for the inevitable madness. He told the magazine (quotes via JustJared):

"It won't take very much, I'm telling you. It will not take much for people to hit the panic button. The amount of convenience that people rely on based on electricity alone. You start taking out electricity and satellites, and people are going to lose their noodle. People don't have maps anymore. People use their iPhones or GPS systems, so if there's no electricity, nobody has maps."
And then what? The way Kutcher sees it, all chaos breaks.

"And people are going to go, 'That land's not yours, prove that it's yours,' and the only thing you have to prove it's yours is on an electric file. Then it's like, 'What's the value of currency, and whose food is whose?' People's alarm systems at their homes will no longer work. Neither will our heating, our garbage disposals, hot-water heaters that run on gas but depend on electricity - what happens when all our modern conveniences fail? I'm going to be ready to take myself and my family to a safe place where they don't have to worry."
So what's a soothsaying star supposed to do when he sees the end of the world? Kutcher is stocking up on guns and spending hours and hours running the canyons near his home, pushed on by visions of being chased by wild boar. He's also taking daily bikram yoga sessions, and learning Krav Maga, a deadly Israeli combat technique taught to high-powered special ops.

"All of my physical fitness regimen is completely tailored around the end of day. I stay fit for no other reason than to save the people I care about."

Sounds like his toughest role yet.

Don't let his previous TV roles deceive you. Ashton Kutcher is a very, very, wise old soul. He's a little buddha.
If you ever get the opportunity to sit & talk with him, you'll be blown away by his maturity and sage wisdom.

I agree ..... but common snese isn't common ... and when things begin to fall apart the ones who are taking steps now are the ones who will be less likely to be victimized by all the bedlam that will ensue

i just want to know where he plans on escaping to.  That way, when it happens, I'll just show up at his house, beat him like a circus monkey and take all his stuff.

For that particular adventure, I would prefer a .300 Win Mag.....certainly not the flat-out best, but my preference.  One thing I HATE about where i live now, is nowhere to shoot.  i grew up where we just wandered into fields and the backyard and shot whenever we wanted.  Here, i don't think the neighbors would appreciate it too much. haha

Or i could just call Benchmstr to take care of Ashton for me..... he is THE MAN on here for that type of thing.  Real deal guy.

You know it is cool to hear a Hollywood type talk like that.  What a change from the "someone protect me" attitude of most.  He grew up a farm kid so i thiink that made a huge difference.

Funny how some people seem to live in a fantasy about the reality of what is happening and what is to come. I suggested before that everyone watch the movie THE GRAPES OF WRATH to see what happens when a country collapses financially and people struggle to survive. This movie only touched a little on the violence aspect, but it showcased the USURPERS that will emerge in that time. Ashton will have no where to go... no secret hiding place. He claims to have study various fighting techniques, but does he know how to survive on the land? Does he know advanced first aid? How about growing a garden? Finding fresh water? Surviving winter? Does he know how to properly kill an animal for food and know how to preserve the meat (even catching a chicken, turkey, duck etc is a challenge let alone plucking feathers, gutting and cooking)? There is a lot more to surviving than guns, shooting someone or something and hiding away in the woods. Also alerting people of his "training" protocol, where he will potentially flee to (Canyons near home) as well as his guns will only set himself up to be watched by his neighbors and/or authorities, so when the shit does hit the fan...  they will know exactly where to go to find him.
