I just got a PS3 for Xmas.......

So getbiggers, my question to you is.........What are the best PS3 games out there.

call of duty modern warfare 1 and 2.....the sniper episode in modern warfare 1 is awesome. specielly if you have a good surround system, when you miss at the beginning and the dogs comes from your back cool as hell you can hear exactly what angle the are coming from.

war: cod mw 1 and 2 and battlefield bc2
action/war: metal gear solid 4, fallout 3 or new vegas
western: red dead revolver, one of the best games EVVAHH!!!!!!!!!
car: gran turismo 5 with the logitech gt steering wheel.

Well im not really an FPS guy, which seems to be all the rage now. ( I havent owned a game system since the gamecube )....

I like fighting games, sports games, and action/adventure type games.

A buddy of mine told me this game called "heavy rain" is pretty epic, anyone ever play it?

heavy rain was really good, like playing a hollywood cop/thriller movie. cool game with a lot of dif endings based on how you play the game

Agreed on the sports category above. Played a lot of FIFA '10 during summer and play NHL '09 a couple of times a year.

You can have my war games. I never play that shit.

I have GT 4 or 5, but never get to play that either.

Music: Rock Band and Singstar - both are excellent party games, cuz the bitches love 'em

yes they can be wrong.

it's about principles, not the "oh it's famous so it has to be good"

weapons feel like plastic, when the weapons reload it's like reloading a super soaker water pistol... it's ridiculous how easily you can get frags in that game.

it's all how you like to play games ofcourse but, still, lmao.

You can tell everyone here only buys games from watching tv commercials.The ps3 game that is regarded as the best game on it is Uncharted 2.Then Little Big Planet,God of War 3,Heavy Rain and Demon Souls.

You wont be playing it anytime soon either with your jailbroken ps3, all games since Gran Tourismo 5 require firmware 3.5 and up, Jailbreak only supports up to firmware 3.41 at the moment.

If haven't played the God of War 1 and 2 from the PS2, they were digitally remastered and release don one disc for the PS3. You can get it for about $20 and they are absolute must plays for that system. The games hold up very well, considering how old they are. Then, of couse, God of War 3.

Also, Uncharted 2, Bioshock (FPS + puzzles) and Batman: Arkham Asylum and RDR.

hmmmm....

honestly the modded ps3 has been somewhat of a pain in the ass anyway,every time I want a game (ps3 exclusive is really the only ones I get because I get 360 games cheaper)I have to take my ps3 to the guy to download it onto my hard drive

and every time I buy a game from the store it wont play because it says I have to upgrade my firmware which I clearly can't do because it will un mod my ps3,so I have to take it back to guy to bypass the update
