If only one of these movies was done well mankind would really be terminated at the end, no happy ending. Cause it's likely what would truly happen. But for some bullshit reasons we always find out a stupid weakness in the arsenal of aliens who are millions years ahead of us in terms of technology.
Design of the alien spacecrafts and their weaponry also reminds me a lot of an old video game called homeworld 2 my brother was playing in 2002.
