The fact they likely knew about it before they promoted him means they didn't think it was a problem. I think there were about 4,000 sailors on that ship? Everyone had to know about it.

That's what was reported on CNN about 2 hours ago. I saw it on TV while doing cardio at the gym. This is a non issue blown way out of proportion by the media.
