Culturally, the USA might as well be about 6 different countries, different regions can be extremely different in the US.

SoCal, the desert southwest, the south, the north east, pacific northwest, midwest, Alaska, each one is totally different. You cannot really generalize American people too much because they are so diverse.

Florida does have a redneck/southern trash thing going on. But many parts of the USA don't have that much at all. All up and down the West Coast you won't find much of that vibe at all.

The diversity makes this country great.

Thats cool, do you mind sharing what geographical region you worked? I have noticed vast differences in the Amnerican culture but doesn't matter the area, Wal Mart is still very entertaining! Especially around Christmas.

I've been all over Europe and Asia. US = by far the best quality of life on average.

Florida's pretty awesome, I've actually considered moving me and the wifey there.. although i think South beach is a joke, tiny and completely overrated, but Florida overall has a lot of really nice areas Miami, Orlando, Ft.Lauderdale, etc.
great beaches, nice people, awesome food, perfect weather. I've been there 3 times now and love coming back
