She has great eyes, but I prefer Alex Flanagan from NBC/NFL Network.

Hey Wiggs, you'll like this one (i'm paraphrasing):

 - a new financial bill was proposed that would make credit car companies use a person's personal income as opposed to a household income to determine credit worthiness
 - some women are calling this discrimination against women and an attack on their human rights (because, naturally, less women would qualify for credit cards)

what is the motivation behind changing from household income to personal income? wouldnt household income work just as well as personal income for determining ability to pay back money loaned?

Not necessarily.  A stay at home wife with no income has no more ability to pay off a credit card than a 5 year old child.

are you serious, or just retarded?

let's say you list your personal income for a credit card.

taylor's income = $450/ yr
taylor plus mom = $100,450

who would you rather lend money to?

Yes, but I'd be pissed for a totally different reason...no because he said something that has now been perceived as sexist...should have just kept it as asshole or guy.

Broadcaster apologizes for sexist remark

Updated Jan 4, 2011 11:41 AM ET
Veteran ESPN broadcaster Ron Franklin has apologized for a comment he made toward a coworker that led tthe cable network to pull him from the air before Saturday's Fiesta Bowl.

"I said some things I shouldn't have and am sorry. I deserved to be taken off the Fiesta Bowl," Franklin said in a statement late Monday.

Franklin was disciplined after he called ESPN sideline reporter Jeannine Edwards "sweet baby" and "a--hole" during an off-air spat, according to several reports.

Franklin and Edwards were scheduled to work together for Friday's Chick-fil-A Bowl, and the incident occurred in a pregame production meeting also attended by ESPN announcers Ed Cunningham and Rod Gilmore.

ESPN: THE FIGHT
What started this war of words? Sports by Brooks has all the details.
The conversation turned to the subject of Gilmore's wife, Marie, being elected mayor of Alameda, Calif., and that's reportedly when the confrontation began.

"Listen to me, sweet baby, let me tell you something," Franklin reportedly told her.

“Don’t call me sweet baby, I don’t like being talked to like that,” Edwards responded.

Franklin then said, “OK then, listen to me, a--hole.”

Franklin's comments were reported to ESPN management. Management attempted to pull Franklin from the Chick-fil-A Bowl broadcast, but it was too late to find a replacement.

Franklin was pulled from the Fiesta Bowl broadcast Saturday instead. Franklin, who signed a two-year contract with ESPN last July, apparently will not be disciplined further, an ESPN source told Sports by Brooks.

Sports by Brooks initially reported the incident Sunday. It was confirmed Monday by USA Today.

That's it?  "SWEET BABY"?  You gotta be fucking kidding me..... ::)  God Bless America.... ::)

lol....if I call a woman at my job "sweetheart" I would get written up by HR immediatly. that's just the way things are these days

Appearantly Wiggs (and everyone else who agrees with Wiggs) missed my post. Wiggs, if you had a company and one of your employees said that, what would you do? Wouldn't you want to keep your compainies integrity intact?

It's too bad the USA has become so pussified and PC.

You can't joke around about anything anymore without someone blowing up in self-righteous indignation.

Yeah well it's gone too far if you ask me.

Men are supposed to be horny pigs. But in the USA you have to hide it behind a facade of PC bullshit.

Men in the USA are slowly getting their balls sliced off.

And Franklin's almost 69 years old.  He could care less about being PC.  From another incident:
Quote
On October 1, 2005, according to the Chicago Tribune, during a game between Notre Dame and Purdue that Franklin was calling, sideline reporter Holly Rowe praised Purdue defensive coordinator Brock Spack for using all three timeouts on defense despite trailing by four touchdowns late in the game. "If the coaches are giving up," Rowe added, "what does that say to the players?" Franklin responded: "Holly, it's not giving up. It's 49-21, sweetheart."

In response to that, Mo Davenport, senior coordinating producer for college football said, "It was an inappropriate comment, and we've communicated that to Ron. There's never a reason to say something so mean-spirited. Ron apologized. We dealt with it internally."
