I have a Samsung Captivate S android phone that is noticeably slower now than when I got it....screens hang...I hit a button and nothing happens for like 2 seconds....is this common? How do I.....And can I, fix it?
Groink do you make a habit of using the Task Killer you already have on the phone?jesubod, does the ATK kill the tasks automatically?
First; Samsung? LOL dude.Second; have you heard about reboot? Shut the machine down once in awhile. Then fire it up again. Third; control the amount of applications running at the same time. Control the processes running. Keep on eye that memory is not running out.
It works that way on my phone. I also had the Backflip before this one and it worked perfectly with ATK.
Task killers are only good for phones running older android operating systems. 1.5, 1.6...They provide very little value to phones running 2.2(froyo)...
Well, killing tasks always speeds up the phone. No matter what the OS version.
next time dont be a cheap ass and buy an iphone. lagging screen, battery pull?? dont even know what yer all talking about
Iphones are for fags..Hope this helps
Not really much I can add that hasn't already been said - I've got an HTC android phone and I get the screen lagging sometimes. Just run Advanced Task Killer and then power the phone down, remove the battery, and reinsert it. Then run Advanced Task Killer again which gets rid of everything. The reason is that there's too many apps running in the backbround slowing the memory down on the phone. That solves my phone problems all the time.
But, as stated, it could be harming the phone down the line.....
Perhaps avoiding this thread would be a start if you haven't got a clue about what's going on...Thanks
