Obama promised to spend us into a socialist paradise, and has kept right on his word. He told us he'd take from the rich so Peggy and friends could continue goofing off. And his actions have reflected this.
Tea party winners, on the other hand, promised to CHANGE this. And they're gonna do the same. You know it, and it drives ya nuts. When they raise the debt ceiling, it's gonna be a hilarious day here. They'll fumble with a dozen reasons why they're just doing it this one time (after promising not to..)
But in the end, you'll know they're just pieces of shit politicians like everyone else in DC.
What the fcuk are you rambling about?
Obama NEVER made any promise about a "Socialist" paradise.
Neither has he turned USA into a "Socialist" haven.
Regardless of what you may think.
Obama made a promise about a health care reform. When it was done, it was filled with earmarks and shit and not exactly some Socialist wet dream.
Also - what the fcuk - take from the rich? When did Obama actually take from the rich? Didn't he just now extend the Bush tax cut?
As for the Tea Partiers. It remains to be seen. Doing a fund raiser - why not.
I believe like others that they should get the benefit of a doubt for awhile.
But if they're not committed to representing what they got elected on - lower spending, more focus on the homeland, focus on the "individual person" et al.
Then they will get absolutely eaten up alive next election.
And rightfully so.
But I think it's refreshing. Adds a new dimension to US politics.
Would be nice to see perhaps a separate movement of the Democrats grow. Eg, an environmentally focused group.
And perhaps a group that would focus on rural/farming issues mainly.
