Lucid dreaming. Anyone "practicing" it?
« on: January 08, 2011, 07:29:58 AM »
I define lucid as you Know this is a dream and you can do Whatever you want to. Not only that youre doing whatever you want but also that you realise its a dream.

This usually have happened to me once every now and then, but almost always when I realise I wake up from it. (apparently its due to exitement)

Latley however, ive been reading up on is, and started dping different teqnicue to stay in the dream. Such as hand rubbing and plainb old spinning and then just stopping. Due to that ive been able to stay a little bit longer but Im still in the learning phases lol.

Anyone else doing it? that have managed to stay a long time?

Having convos with people in your dream about this only being a dream is pretty damn trippy lol.

I managed to fly the first time (apaprently can take a while to learn, everyone has "flown" (spell) in their dream, but did you actually Know you were dreaming at the moment? not me before this. And I manages to teleport myself into a huge football stadium by opening a door at a mall lol.

Whenever I usually realised I was lucid, I just took the girl closest to me and started fucking her lol. which lead to the fact that I woke up Right away. And this morning I realised I was lucid, and the black tennisplayer williams, venus or serena or whatever her name it appreared from Nowhere, in a crazy bikini showing of her big ass booty, but I started rubbing my hands and walked away to stay in it longer lol!

I woke up pretty fast after that however so I regret I didnt rape that biatch lol.

tips/help etc

I've got it a few times but hits hard. I think you need to be just on the verge of sleep, and train your mind on one specific thing.

Once I was in the desert trying to fall asleep, and I started imagining myself standing on a bridge in the clouds.
Suddenly I WAS on a bridge in the clouds, and i just slowly fell forward off and was just soaring. I knew I was dreaming and just kept flying through canyons, over water, and such.

I remember that dream as extra vivid also, I still remember details, when I've long forgoten other dreams.

it usually happends in REM sleep, which seems to occour every 90 min or so, and its easier the longer into it your are say like 7.5 hours in etc..
What you did is called something special though, its a specific tequnicue.

Isn't it fucking awesome? its strange how little people care about this, as did I.. when its so fucking amazing and it has the potential to happen every damn night,

next time Im gonna try the spinning  tequnicue only done the hand rubbing and that worked when I was about to slip out of the dream. Can apparently also be used as teleportation.

Seems like not much use for the real world, but we try and escape the"real" world quite often. Eg, drugs, alcohol, working out,
vacations, tv, movies. It would be neat if you were having a bad dream, to be able to stop and control it. I stoped drinking a lot,
and have more dreams. Probly just not doped up whilst sleeping haha.
Not sure of any techniques, like you mentioned, just what i did.
Might have to look it up now.

Doing whatever the fuck you want (beating a bitch) probably makes you feel pretty damn happy when you wake up again. Good start on the day.

And some poeple that are depressed etc have used it to meet loved ones again. AND as you said, Control nightmares.

you should. Intersting read. just started reading about it 2-3 days ago =)

I've been doing it for over 20 years. One application that I've found very useful is to become aware in the dream state and then say out loud some affirmations or..positive statements while in the Dream state. The reason it works well is that the affirmations get installed into your subconcious mind much better than saying them in the waking state. Also, saying your goals out loud in the dream state could help them come to fruition sooner.

Swede is not into that, he's into beating people in his dreams, which he could not in real life---I don't know how he could have "raped" a 5'11 Serena who weighs more than him...

What Swede needs to do, is decipher his dreams, why is he dreaming of certain things, and use them as a road map. Why are certain themes occuring his dreams. Keep a dream manual. And do some things, or the whole dream come true? I had one dream that actually played out, scene by scene, two weeks after the dream. This was in high school. There are dreams and there are visions
you can get answers to certain questions within you dreams. Whether it be for personal issues or health issues. Try saying this before you go to bed, "I will have the answers to ____when I wake up." this will force you to dream about said topic, and chances are you will have a answer in your dreams in a few days or that night.

I usually only control my dreams to get out of nightmares// or to get sex. Other then that its fun to see where the brain takes you. Last night i flew to Houma, LA and landed in a swamp where i was suppose to be on a class field trip and got lost. I found a nearby jogger and we ended up cutting through peoples houses and back yards. We were then attacked by someones dog to which i responded my flapping my elbows like a chicken (a technique ive done since a child in my dreams) and i can hover jump or even stay a float if i flap hard enough. The dogs could jump high and almost bite my feet but i got away  ;D Real shit by the way... i know it sounds ridiculous

good stuff guys, ive had two lucid dreams but i found them really hard to control, i.e. they fade away quickly if i lose my concentration. I had two dreams before that where i started to become lucid but very quickly 'lost' it before i could do anything.

It seems every time I have one I have more and more control. If I try to do crazy shit like flying it seems I can't remain concentrated enough, so I keep it simple and just observe my surroundings and my own body.

Last time I became aware in my dream it felt so real that for a minute or two I had to think really hard about whether it was real or not... I was riding on a bus with my brother so I turned around and asked him whether I was dreaming or this was reality. He laughs at me and says 'ofcourse its real', but i dont really believe him and think of a way to test whether it was real or not. I look over to the side at the window and think that if this was a dream i could break that window and it wouldn't hurt... but I bitched out of it thinking of the pain just in case  ;D I'm not sure how but i ended up realising it was dream, at which point i started to climb up a building, and it felt almost as hard as doing a real pullup but i knew there was no way i could do that in real life haha... the rest of the dream i was chased by people like in the movies, but I became much more of an observer than being lucid the rest of the dream.

Try only reacting to the stimuli that your brain randomly gives you. If you are in a dream where you are running from a pack of dogs try to think of flying or something as opposed to changing the whole dream all together. When i have nightmares, when i try to change the dream all together i usually have a higher chance of waking up. I've been controlling my dreams since i was a child and learned about lucid dreaming on my own. It was just a natural reaction to fear in my dreams.

Excellent points, Parker. Supposedly Thomas Edison would try to focus on a problem or question before sleep and claimed he got many ideas for inventions in his dreams. Speaking of Serena Williams, I met her a few months ago in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida at a local bar. I spoke to her for a bit and she was very friendly.  I was surprised as I expected her to be kind of stand offish, but she was very cool.

There are drugs that significantly increase your changes of getting lucid.
Google for "advanced lucid dreaming"or buy the book of the same name. When you have, send me a message.
But be be careful and don't screw up your receptos too early, fella.

Apparently our unconscious mind taps into the astral plane, where our answers lay. Notice how our dreams are in a somewhat disarray, yet sequenced stated---where are fears, wants and desires are played out in private. And as much as we try to control them, they usually end up, out of control---this is because we are seeking to control something that is not meant to be controlled.

I kinda figure that Serena is a friendly soul, she has that playfulness about her.

soon there will probably be a machine which can put you in rem sleep whenever you want.. without affecting nightly sleep.
I wonder if everyone would end up addicted

a machine that puts one into REM sleep would be hard to do, as each individuals brain waves are diff, and depending if that person has drunk a alcoholic beverage, which effs up the natural sleep patterns

I had a really vivid dream about having a car accident. When I woke I was obviously relieved that it was just a dream.

About a month later I was involved in a car accident almost identical to what i had seen in the dream.

I remember being annoyed and thinking the dream was some type of warning and I should have taken it more seriously
