it's ok, you like men with bellies, it might be somethng from your childhood. Strongmen and PLers tend to to not have clean diets, as they are not really worried about what they look like or epic leans, and my guess is that they also have high blood pressure, which is monitored.
As with most cultures, a lean athletic physique is the sign of prowess and being a warrior...only some cultures like big fat dudes, which strongmen are not...
But, one strongman/PL dude who died due to his health is Grizzly Brown.
Also, if dude cared about his health, he would not have started smoking in the first place---knowing that it would have hurt his stamina and lungs...
Out of curiousity, are you a small woman? Also, not to be disrespectful, but when you went off on Fatpanda, i tend to notice that women who go off like that either are small women or women who have a preference for big dudes, to protect them, because they tend to go off, and want someone there to be a tank...like women in big SUVs, they tend to be the ones who want and do take a person's right away, or cursing at people...
no disrespect taken ... but I don't see strongmen / PL's as "fat" like you seem to be implying .. I see Panda types as fat .. being large and strong is not the same as being fat and lazy to me .. your point re: my going off on Panda isn't anything to do with anymore than his piss poor attitude and total disallowance of any rational debate in regards to his claims .. he has no intention of a "conversation" he just wants to be noticed and come off as a bad ass and cut people down with venom .. hence my disgust .. and I have always had issues just sitting idly by accepting such behavior and especially after it's directed at me
I also have never depended on anyone to protect me .. so no my liking for large strong men is basically derived from the lack of having a father for most of my life I think .. little girls are Daddies girls if they're lucky .. and I like having that same feeling with big men .. they are very compassionate and affectionate they also are an encompassing figure to be close to .. being held by a man of size is heaven to me .. so if you want to correlate that feeling to "safety" then in a way I agree
I also can say if I'm involved in a street crime of some sort .. I'd rather have a big man with me than a Brad Pitt type .. they don't hire small guys for security jobs much where crowds gather that I've seen either
I'm a bit over 5' and under 130 .. dunno what that should matter for though .. I imagine tall big women like big guys for reasons totally different than mine
Very refreshing to see a woman that appreciates a BIG, STRONG man. Unfortunately for me, I am dinky and weak. 
But that doesn't preclude me from acknowledging the truth of the real world strength and athleticism of WSM men.
WSM competitors, unlike bodybuilders, are real athletes capable of moving tremendous weights as well as their own selves. Top bodybuilders for the greater part are not athletic in the most remedial fashion. The only thing they can probably move outside a gym is their bowels. And the lust-o-meter of homos. Disgusting.

.. I'm just a huge fan of the strongmen and PLer's .. I remember being a little girl and watching the shows with my Dad ... I was in awe of such strength and continue to be to this day .. and in re: to the lust-o-meter of homos you mention .. I say this .. if a man is secure in hisself it shouldn't be an insult to him that he's being admired by people he wouldn't want to "date" .. if you catch my drift .. take it on as a compliment and carry on with what you like
