We're intimately familiar with the dynamic sermons, speeches and nonviolent protests that pricked a nation's conscience and shaped King's enduring legacy.
At issue today is a different query, one that might prompt a living King to roll his eyes, if not take to the streets.
Here 'tis: What do the hundreds of roads and streets that bear King's name – many of which run through racially segregated and dirt poor neighborhoods – say about racial progress in America?
Two researchers have come up with some clues, if not a definitive answer.
