Do you mean the information that was given by the CIA to Bush?  That is the same information that Bill Clinton supported. That the UN and Britain's intelligence confirmed. The same information PASSED ON and AVAILABLE to the entire Congress.  

The notion that somehow Democrats and Republicans did not have access to this information is wrong. Bush didn't give them anything nor relay anything on his own. He repeated, like Obama does with his teleprompter, what the intelligence community told him.

Regardless, Democrats are supposed to be very intelligent. If Bush lied to them, as some imply, why couldn't ALL of them discern it as some sort of ruse and vote against the war.

Fact remains that there were Democrats, some who right now are in the current President's cabinet, who voted for the war. Those Dems can't blame Bush or the Republicans. They should only blame themselves.

Based on what the CIA, UN, Britain, Saddam's own actions and with the stamp of approval from the Dem's beloved Clinton, AT THAT TIME it was the correct decision.

Haven't had a chance to comment much on stickly's thread addressed to me but....its not a secret that Reagans son "Ron" is flaming lib so calling me out on something the world knew before you were born I guess would be new to you. Barbara Walters was quoted that she was around Reagan more than almost any reporter and she saw no signs of what Ron Jr. Is claiming. I'd be willing to bet his brother micheal beat the shit out of him daily!!

walters surely isn't going to say anything negative about the man since he is regarded so highly and above all, he has passed away.

I think it's safe to say that while he was certainly NOT disagnosed alzheimers while still in office - Reagan did show some signs of SENILITY during his last 2-3 years in office. 

Google it.  Leslie Stahl nearly broke the story in 1986.  White House made it clear he couldn't be asked Qs... he was very sharp on memories from acting days, but other things...

Well, we're all human.  Reagan was well into his 70s at that point, and we all have grandparents with 'senior moments'... where their memory and concentration fails them.  It happens.  I'm sure he wasn't Alzhemiers in the 1980s... but he definitely had some issues.  Reagan's mother had senility issues for years before being diagnosed with alzheimers.  Reagan was very sharp in the early 90s on a larry king interview, but there may have been times early on when it came and went.  Let's see how sharp any of us will be at age 75.   here's reagan as early as 1984 having a very awkward moment.
