Anne Hathaway cast as Catwoman in 'Dark Knight', Tom Hardy on for villain Bane

Hathaway is not a bad choice for Catwoman. I can see her doing the fucked up bad girl without too many problems. She has huge shoes to fill after Michelle Pfeiffer though. She was great as Selina Kyle.

Why they think they need two major villains in the film I don't know.

There was a big uproar when Heath Ledger was cast as the joker too...Chris Nolan seems to have a knack for bringing out fantastic performances from unlikely actors so Im gonna give the movie a chance.

Another thing is that there are people like me who like 'Batman Begins' more than TDK, because Batman was the focal point of the movie and had the most screentime, as opposed to TDK, where there were too many character developments and Batman was only a part of the movie.

I look forward to seeing TDKR, but not as much as 'Man of Steel' that's due in 2012

They haven't decided on the cast or even the story yet. Only thing that's confirmed at this stage is that Zack Snyder is directing it (the guy who did 300, Dawn of the Dead (2004) and Watchmen). Chris Nolan who made BB, TDK and is making TDKR is producing, so it's a great team there.

We need a major villain like Doomsday or Darkseid, so there's lots of one on one fighting, with maybe Luthor and BrainIAC thrown in. Tom Welling from Smallville would make a great Superman, but not sure if he'll be considered. The movie is not due till Dec 2012.

hathaway is actually a decent actress if youve seen here in the show where she was a druggy or had some mental problem i cant remember but if youve only seen her in the movies i can definitely understand why you guys feel that way

I know you guys are way more into comics than me, but I think you should have some confidence in Nolan's casting. The guy is immensely talented, does not pander to his audience, and always has intelligent/great story lines. Give him some credit.

Batman 2 was the best batman from any angle. A beast movie.

when I was a kid, batman 2 left me akward and kinda depressed because it was so dark and sinister to me... that's how batman should be... fucking evil and harsh.

I'm also looking forward to the new Superman movie the 'Man of Steel', although I liked Superman Returns I hope this new one delivers what it should, some great fight scenes and plenty of action.

Tom Welling would be the ideal cast for Superman, but I've been reading that will probably won't happen. The guy that played the character in the 2006 movie was ok, so he could be a good choice...if you think about it there isn't any good actor to play the part.

I haven't seen that show, but I'm sure she is a decent actress....I was just considering the 'look' of the actress as well..Hathaway just doesn't have it for catwoman imo.

Yep, Brandon Routh did a good job in SR, although he got the part mostly because of how similar he looked to Christopher Reeve. He probably has a better chance of landing the role than Tom Welling, although they might cast someone new altogether.
