Livin' the dream..... ;D
Ha ha ha, sad as it is it is a very tough business. Kind of reminds me of that one scene in the movie "The Wrestler" when about 5 of them were sitting at a table, all beat up, old and abused and waiting for fans to pay for an autograph / memorabilia and no one showed up. Sad shit.

Oh man, I know...that movie had so many scenes that just tugged your heart out......great, great movie on so many levels.  I was surprised that the same guy who directed it, did Black Swan.  Not that I want to see it, but what a director...

And you KNOW that has happened so many times..... one scene i really liked is when he was sleeping in the van and the kids woke him up.  i expected him to get ticked, but he just played with the kids and was so cool to them.  Great scene.

Yes, you're right! He was humble and kind to everyone. An aspect that is really over looked in the business today especially in the indie scene. I like the locker room spirit they had in that flick.

I once read that "Leaping" Lanny Poffo is quite comfortable.  He spoke about the importance of smart money management and joked that he is now in better shape than virtually all the wrestlers he jobbed to back in the 80's.

Its the same old story. Everyone assumes that wrestlers / celebrities / atheletes are "broke". Its bullshit. Hell, everyone chimmed how Scott Hall was such a misfit for his alcohol and drug abuse and him being broke from divorce but the guy is loaded and owns a 5,000 square foot house in orlando and has two Bentley's.

How much could he possibly have? That Orlando house no matter how big it is is worth half of what it was five years ago. Orlando=huge loss. Vanity tends to be a big problem for Celebs. Two Bentley's? Where is his income coming from to support this life style? Drug/alcohol abuse and a divorce? Does he have any children as well? No way this guy is living Big.
Doesn't matter. Once you made your millions, your good to go. He made his money. You need to do your homework a lil better before chiming in once a month

Isn't Hacksaw Duggan doing pretty decent as well?

Has a half way decent house.  A friend of mine had to do some work there.  Inside, the house was a mess.  Dirty dishes and garbage were scattered everywhere.  My friend described it as, where ever they were at and done with eating, is where they left their plates.  There was an end table and there were five dishes piled up on it with 6 glasses along with the silverware. Candy wrappers were all over the floor. lol

I travel alot for work. And I do know the value of a dollar and how much it costs to keep the Big Ships a float. This guy is high rolling in Mansions with Bentley's. It's expensive for any life style especially that kind. A million dollars isn't what it used to be. Especially with a taste for big spending, drug/alcohol abuse, a divorce, and children (if he has any?). EVERYONE lost their a$$ in the recession as well. Last time I checked this guy hasn't been a draw in years. Enlighten me Playboy. How many millions could he possibly have?

He's made almost 2mil per year (guaranteed...a brilliant fine print in the contracts offered by Turner to lure potential WWE talents) between 1996-2001 with WCW. Prior to that he was getting 400,000 grand per year with WWE from 1992-1996 when he left. He has coin. A bottle of Grey Goose doesn't cost 500,000 dollars. Whether he hasn't been a draw in years or not is irrelevant. He's made his coin. Same with guys like Nash, Flair, Hogan, etc. Last I checked Hall's net worth was 8 million. These guys aren't stupid. They have lawyers, agents, etc. Hall & Nash are both practically joined at the hip so they have the same agent repping them.

I see where Timmy is coming from.
There are many instances of those who have it not having it for long because of irresponsible spending habits.
It's not only what you make, but also what you save/spend that counts.

We can't make blanket statements about celebrities in general.
However, many are mature and smart enough to at least surround themselves with intelligent people who will effectively handle their finances.
The fact that Hall still has the assets he does this long after the peak of his run tells me he's done/doing something right.

"Hey yo.....its survey time....survey says!? One more for the bad guy."  :D

Speaking of Hall and Nash, I was watching WWE vintage on the weekend. The show was allocated to just them. They even showed a match with the fake Razor and Diesel. Remember that bullshit? I know the fake Diesel was Glen Jacobs aka Kane but who was the fake Razor??

Rick Bognar of Canada.
He eventually ran a wrestling school with "Bad News" Alan Coage for a while.
I don't know how it did, though.

Really? I wondered who the hell he was. He seemed to fall off planet earth after that.

I wasn't trying you my North American Brother. Timmy's here to learn from you guys. I love this board and learn more and more everyday. Most of the time drug addiction and money management don't really go hand and hand though. I'm glad to hear the Bad Guy is still doing well.

Oh I know that, dude. Its all good. Check the website, there is another huge supercard coming to Madison Square Garden in the near future. Not sure when but I think its an actual Raw taping.

I loved how he called Mr. Perfect "Perfecto".
I miss seeing Henning perform. I was watching my HHH dvd last night and it was just after HHH tore his quad the first time and it showed the RR ppv and Henning was one of the entrants. He still took all of those guys to school.

Hennig was a helluva wrestler.  WCW, not surprisingly, dropped the ball big-time with him.  Should have made him a Horseman and made him the focal title-holder of the group.  Idiots wasted him in the nWo.

People have to remember that if you make 100,000 dollars a year, it will take you 10 YEARS to make a million bucks.

If you can't live off of 8 Million or so, then you're fucked... That's 80 years of comfortable lifestyle.

i agree....no reason someone can't live off of that very comfortably.
