Holy hell was this show awesome. Extremely grotesque, sexually explicit, and they even had some bodybuilding. Which does beg the question why didn't Chick get the part? Perhaps his 'hairstyle' wasn't time appropriate?

Nothing more than cinematic pablum for the terminally mentally deficit set. In terms more easily understood by the majority of those that haunt these hallowed halls, it is crap unworthy of any sort of relevant "fame".

being that they have tried very hard to get this movie historically correct in terms of everyday life of gladiators, how they trained, ate, were treated, and the different classes of people, I'd say you are quite false in your assessment.
