Recently learned that my gym 24HourFitness, is a hot-bed for gays looking for shower/locker room/hot tub fun with anyone who's willing, via the web-trash can known as Craigslist. Some co-workers found on the m4m crap on the 'List, many guys posting this gym location for seeking their sexual encounters. I don't hate gay people, but this IS VERY disturbing. I'm sure this happens in every gym but I've never witnessed any "funny buisness." does your gym have this problem? Maybe you should check your Craigslist! But maybe you shouldn't! Meltdown!

I'll try to explain: if you want a boyfriend, great, find a nice fellow, and have a relationship, share yourselves in the privacy of your apt. But why does the gay community "cheapen" sexuality down to shower-room lust experience? Let me repeat this for those of you who missed it the first time: gay men (like me) are perfectly comfortable going to a gay bar, sex club, one of several gay hook up web sites, etc. to meet a sexual partner. I do not even have to leave my house; I can order up a man on my cell phone or ipad and invite him over for a romp. In other words real gay men do not have to settle for the titillation and uncertainty of connecting with someone in a gym locker room/sauna, etc. There are always exceptions, but for the most part the guys who go to public toilets, gym locker rooms, sauna, etc have homosexual impulses but they are not self identified as gay. That is to say, they are married or bicurious and hiding from themselves and others. Think of Senator Larry Craig and his “wide stance” in the stall. Are there “straight”/bicurious guys in gyms trolling for sex. Yes. Tons of them. By the way, what were you doing reading the m4m postings on Craigslist?  |
