MSNBC is making fun of republicans for spending another week on a NON-BINDING anti-spending bill.


What month will this congress start writing bills that aren't largely symbolic/posturing?  You guys promised to come out swinging and change Washington.  So far, you pushed healthcare reform bill you admitted would fail, and now you're going to let the Repubs raise the debt ceiling by a trillion - but only if they sign a non-binding promise to spend less?

Just say that you're cool with 435 members of House using 3 weeks' salary (and time/opportunity to actually improve the nation) with non-binding, compromise and symbolic bills?

Cause it makes me sad.  They could have frozen that debt ceiling in week 1 - permanenty.  In week 2, they could have overturned FinReg, plain and simple.  This week, it would be ending every remaining dollar of the Stim bill.

Boom.  get shit done.
