America has always acted like it had a chip on it's shoulder every since a bunch of rich people across the Atlantic in Great Britain in red coats wanted to tell them how to run shit over here, yet tax them on everything.
Americans (the rich ones) said Fuck that...and so there has been this "Oh the audacity!" type of mentality...because we ain't proper...and that is what pisses Europeans (many Europeans) off, we don't do things YOUR way.
Furthermore Stark, the Romans considered the german tribes and ethnic groups to be barbarians---barbarians that ended up effing the Romans up...who'd have thought that these Barbarians would have been the efficient Germans of today? Works both ways....
Lol this kind of crap is why I hate american's. you guys pretend like everything about you is uniquely american, when the truth is very little is. Most of what you think is so great, usually has a canadian//european factor that can't be ignored.
Simple examples Terminator movies great american culture, except the main actor is austrian, and director/producer is canadian. \

I could do this all day. So much Americana, is really just part of global culture, you have very few things that are independently american.
The only truely american thing is Black culture, but again, it's an seperate segment of society that many americans have major issues with.
On top of that you have a habbit of calling things like rocknroll american, while it origins may be with blacks, by the time whites got around to stealing it, brits were doing it too.
Than you talk about inventions technology, and all that, than you love to ignore that Warner Von Brown(Make rocketry/nasa) Einstein, and Enrico Fermi(made nuclear a reality), were all from europe.

Define culture, look it up, and you'll see that there is unique American culture, and depending on the area subcultures as well.
