Today is the day we celebrate living in the best country in the world.

Sometimes we take it for granted, despite 90% of the world's population living in some shithole.

Enjoy each other, eat, drink and be happy.

We have our annual Doherty's Gym bike day on today and hope to raise $4-5K for the Royal Children's Hospital appeal.

I used to house-share with an Australian girl - nice person but her accent did my head in after a while. Australia would be a cool place to live if it wasn't for all the animals and insects that could potentially kill you.

culture is only as important as the people make it, and its only as valuable as it is virtuous. if everyone spoke the same language, shared the same beliefs, that would be a good thing? only if the language was good, and the beliefs were honorable.

globalization is about the world economy, not about culture. if tthe culture becomes globalized as well, so be it. thats up to the people to decide.

look up the term comparative advantage. free trade benefits everyone. the only down side is exploitatioon of foreign workers, which is something only globaliztion of politics can cure.
