it varies state to state...but here in Texas its against the law to have a quota system....but i can tell you 7 dept just off the top of my head that have set quota systems...they get away with it because they call it "mandatory contacts" giving the impression that they don't have to issue tickets(usually 6 per shift), but in reality the officer MUST write a citation or risk his job....a lot of dept's have got in trouble for this, but if the officers haven't complained...the state doesn't know...the officer is usually permanently black listed for being a whistle blower..

Lol how you figure? You don't know shit about RMCP. Most of my friends will all say, I should be one. You fucks know me over the internet, IRL if you only meet me once or on the job there are no issues. I'm pretty professional when I'm hiding behind a Title, I even speak white.

IRL my personal problems come from the real me, as long as I can get past the pysch program I got no issues dude.

See this is the kind of trash people hate ... i too have a "mandatory contacts" on vagina on a daily bases but if i were go grope bitchez on the street this "mandatory contacts" wouldn't hold water in court for the general public

A cop that posts on a motorcycle forum I read swears up and down that they don't have quotas. They do however have performance targets. If they don't reach the target they get disciplinary actions against them. So they don't have quotas but if they don't hit their targets they get fired. Makes sense to me.

thats a big problem everywhere...they tried to make me start writing tickets....that was over a year ago....i still havent written a ticket in around 2 years

I don't believe this. They are not any more corrupt than any other profession. For the most part they are just people that want to do their jobs with as little unnecessary hassle as possible, get their paycheck, go home, and count the days until that sweet retirement kicks in.

Having said that, I use to be very pro LE. Always giving them the benefit of the doubt but we are really becoming more and more of a police state. They are really over doing it. Remember that story where a grandma slapped her granddaughter for swearing at her. And they hauled her off to jail! Put the old lady behind bars! How about the recent story of a mom who put her kids in a school outside her district to avoid the shitty school in her area. She used her father's address because he lived in the good school district. All right, she broke the rules because she wanted the best for her kids. And for this she also got thrown into jail. That's fucked up. That's really fucked up. Here in Hawaii so many people are behind bars for personal use of pot. If you're not bothering anybody just leave them the fuck alone.

Police officers are no different from other people; most are good people and a few others not so much. My experience with the police is somewhat limited fortunately. However the few times I've encountered them they have mostly been fine to me. I treat the police with respect. I have found that they've returned the favor, even when I got a ticket, which the judge threw out because the sheriff made a mistake in writing it.

My best friend is an LA County Sheriff and is cool (no, not because he's a friend) on the other hand Huntington Beach PD are a bunch primadona dick heads who shoot first and ask questions later. Our little strip of beach community is getting annexed by HB and most of hate it, that means HBPD will be taking over down here

From my understanding the way the locals treat the police also has a large part to do with how they treat you. If everyone in your area is always giving shit to you your gonna give it back.

But also corupt shit has two kinds of cops. Those that are by the books and harass everyone equally being complete dicks, or those that harass blacks/people they think should be fucked with.

There have been several cops over here that have been arrested by LE for DUIs, some judges as well. And there was one that was driving drunk and hit a light pole---in the Police Dept parking lot....

I have had many encounters with cops....some are cool,some are tight ass fuckheads just like any other kind of people.

I also have a lot of friends back home in Mass. that are cops and there all cool as far as I`m concerned.

Can`t stand the ones that let authority go to their heads.

I`m always polite to them, as you simply can`t win if you`re not.

Vast majority i have had any contact with were just regular joes doing a thankless job. I think it's the jack-offs on a power trip that give them all a bad name. but dealing with the dregs of society on a daily basis, who lie to you constantly, endanger your life, etc... has to be a drag on your psychologically.

I don't have the temperament for it.....no way in hell.
