talking about Palin is just dumb.  Palin is an idiot, we know this.  Enough with the attention already.  She isn't getting smarter or better but for some reason people keep talking about her.  It only feeds the beast.

All of this is VERY true!!

please, please, repubs - don't defend her.

Agree she is a moron and /end thread.

it's that easy.  Do it every time and she'll fall from the camera's eye and more competent republicans (who aren't polling 20 points down to obama) will emerge.  I promise!

Every time you defend this person (or attack obama like that makes her idiocy okay) it doe nothing more than remind us all that she is the most visible voice of the Repub party - a nightmare in itself.

Matthews ain't to bright.

The "3/5th" compromise had nothing to do with counting each slave as only 3/5th of human being. It had to do with the census and representation in Congress for the states. Slaves couldn't vote but anti-slavery supporters wanted only "free persons" to be counted to determine representation in Congress and pro-slavery proponents wanted them to be counted so they could have a bigger say in Congress. That is where the compromise comes from. If this wasn't in the document than the slave states would have held an insurmountable edge over the non-slave states.....and that would mean that slavery would have lasted for a while longer until technology made it wasteful. The total of "all other people" will be counted as 3/5th's of the total number. It's that simple. This is knowledge from my high school and college days, shit, probably Jr. High as well. This is basic stuff.

Matthews got it dead wrong in a lazy attempt to hammer Bachmann. These fuckers must be running scared and wetting themselves if they will go as far as to totally misrepresent or lie about certain articles in the Constitution. A bad day for Matthews, no matter how you spin it....and you can't.

I watched the clip again and all I heard him say was that counting slaves as 3/5ths of a person was "the horrible compromise at that was at the heart of our constitution"

Thats all he said (that I saw/heard)

what part did he get wrong?

one would think that Todd would have proof read her response and noticed the wtf .
or, at least one of her handlers would have caught it.
simply stated she misspoke and taken a stand for decency and not use dirty words and phrases - scored big with the fundies.

remember what I told you about using the word logic

everytime you write it you should take it as a sign that you're about to say something stupid

Stimulus legislation
heath care legislation (50 + years in the making)
repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell
Nuclear Arms Treaty

etc...

yes, the most productive session on Congress in the last 40 years

good or bad, based upon whose goggles?

if you're among the 51+% of americans who don't pay taxes or enjoy some type of handout, it IS right for you.  It's a democracy - MAJORITY RULES.

So while it's fucked, it's "right" because we're a democracy and its what the MAJORITY of the people want.

wtf are you talking about?

you drinking?

nobody is saying right or wrong, im saying good or bad and yes with legislation there are quantifiable factors that can be measures...

the stimulus bill was a failure, 1.5-3 million jobs for 800 billion dollars...unemployment above what was projected even without it

lol sorry hoss again quantifiable factors

health care premiums up, waivers for 800 companies...again sorry hoss

credit card protection: rates are avg all time highs, companies by passing the legislation with new cards and loop holes...failure

nobody is saying right or wrong, im saying good or bad

if i'm a deadbeat, broke-ass welfare mother...
baby daddy in prison and i can't stop fcking everyone on my block...
babies popping out every 10 months...

Then YES, obama's policies ARE GOOD FOR HER.

Shitty for the nation - but good for 51% of the nation.  Therein lies the problem - why obama's polling well over 50%.  Cause over half of the nation believes the handouts are GOOD!  Over half the nation ain't smart enough to understand a deficit of 14 trillion bucks.  They carry 10grand in debt, what do they care?

So yes, for a responsible adult, his policies are wrong/bad.  For a welfare bum or lazy schlep, his policies are good/bad.  And until conservatives stop belittling "libs" and trying to one-up them to the point they defend obama no matter what, their numbers will continue to be the minority.

here we go again.

LOL at you citing one number (which is false) and then calling your post quantifiable fact

here's the actual Stim $'s that have been spent so far(as of Dec 10, 2010)

http://projects.propublica.org/tables/stimulus-spending-progress

$331 billion Spent
$135 billion In process
$45 billion Left to spend
$243 billionTax cuts issued
$45 billionTax cuts remaining

I gave you a link to the immediate and future benefits of the health care legislation....did you read it?
I'm' guessing no, otherwise you wouldn't have asked such an ignorant question.  The benefits, both immediate and long term have been listed many times.  How is it you still have no clue what they are?

Premium were rising before the legislation so I don't see the difference except that now the insurance companies have to request permission to increase rates and justify them.  Also, a very small percentage of the increases are due to the legislation (in spite of the lies by the Repubs).  Here's another link I'm sure you can't be bother to read:  http://factcheck.org/2010/11/the-truth-about-health-insurance-premiums/

Seriously, you must have to work hard to stay so uniformed. You must be reading all the same news soures that Palin reads
