Tax cuts had nothing to do with the meltdown or economy. 
We have a spending and regulation addiction, not a problem with too few taxes.

current crisis was caused by lack of regulation of the financial markets, specifically credit defualt swaps.

our economic situation was progressively worse under Reagan/Bush1

got better under Clinton and then exponentially worse under Bush the Lesser
