I tell you. What really scares people is to think we might well be absolutely alone and even if we arent, we re not going to have any occasion to meet another life form from another planet. It's emptiness, infinite cold darkness that scares the shit out of people. That's why they convince themselves something has to exist somewehere else.
What if it doesnt, what if we re just alone on our rock forever in the middle of nowhere. What if we never find a way to quit it. What if there s nothing to find in space.
And again, it wouldnt be better news to learn that there are actually other civilizations in space as the smartest scientifics said it, because it would mean they would either ignore us or destroy us.
You better enjoy your everyday life cause there s nothing much to be "discovered", that's what freaks people out. The fact that maybe, none of this makes sense. People need to find a meaning , because it's reassuring. But what if there's no meaning to be found.
