We should take bets on the next US ally Obama will throw under the bus.

240 or bust is fuming after the EPA passed a nationwide regulation that issues felony charges against anyone collecting the dead bodies of possums, raccoons, squirrels or other roadkill from the United States highway system. 240's favorite restaurant is also reportedly going out of business as a result. Will he jump ship and return to the Republican party?

U.S. Pressure on Mubarak Opens a Rift With Arab Allies
Wall Street Journal ^ | 2/3/11 | ADAM ENTOUS, JULIAN E. BARNES and JAY SOLOMON

WASHINGTON—President Barack Obama's attempt to abruptly push aside Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in favor of a transition government has sparked a rift with key Arab allies Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates, which fear the U.S. is opening the door for Islamist groups to gain influence and destabilize the region.

Vying to influence the outcome of events, Saudi Arabia and the U.A.E. have sent public and private messages of solidarity to Mr. Mubarak and his vice president, longtime intelligence chief Omar Suleiman, diplomats said. The messages amount to support for the president and Mr. Suleiman to oversee the transition and to ensure that Islamists can't fill any possible power vacuum.

The support from Arab states has provided a measure of comfort to Mr. Mubarak, who announced he wouldn't take part in September's election. It may in part explain why the Egyptian president rebuffed Mr. Obama's call for an immediate transition that includes the opposition.

The backlash shows how the turmoil in Egypt is rapidly reshaping U.S. policy in the region. In deciding to set itself against Mr. Mubarak, a U.S. ally for decades, the U.S. is now facing the disquiet of other friendly Arab governments, who have long provided support for American policy goals. Meanwhile, Islamists in the region, including Hamas and Hezbollah, believe they are on the ascent as U.S. allies falter.

This is what this communist/islamist wants for fucks sake!

Obama is intentionally trying to collapse the region in order to force and energy crisis and driveenergy prices through the roof so he can push his radical energy policies and also attack Israel.

US Secretary of State says Egyptian people will ultimately determine if governmental transition meets their needs, US has set forth principles.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Sunday tentatively welcomed the Egyptian government's inclusion of the Muslim Brotherhood in negotiations over the future of the country.

"Today we learned the Muslim Brotherhood decided to participate, which suggests they at least are now involved in the dialogue that we have encouraged, the US's top diplomat told National Public Radio (NPR).

Speaking from Germany on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, Clinton added: "We're going to wait and see how this develops, but we've been very clear about what we expect."

"The Egyptian people are looking for an orderly transition that can lead to free and fair elections," she said. "That is what the United States has consistently supported."

U.S. open to a role for Islamists in new Egypt government (OBAMA SUPPORTS MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD)
Los Angeles Times ^ | 1/31/2011 | Paul Richter and Peter Nicholas

The Obama administration said for the first time that it supports a role for groups such as the Muslim Brotherhood, a banned Islamist organization, in a reformed Egyptian government.

The organization must reject violence and recognize democratic goals if the U.S. is to be comfortable with it taking part in the government, the White House said. But by even setting conditions for the involvement of such nonsecular groups, the administration took a surprise step in the midst of the crisis that has enveloped Egypt for the last week.

Gibbs' remarks came after a White House meeting at which administration officials briefed outside Middle East experts, leaving some of the participants with the impression that the administration was not counting on the 82-year-old Mubarak remaining in power.

Good. And stay out of Egypt.

For 30 years Mubarak's military secular dictatorship that the US funded, tortured Muslims for being Muslim. Tortured Muslims for wanting Islam and living by Islam.

I can list the torture methods. Something worthy of a medieval spanish inquisition.

One of the strong brotherhood presidential canddiates was disqualified on a technicality. Guess what it was? He had a 'criminal record'.

What was his crime? Being IMPRISONED by Mubarak for being a member of brotherhood.

It was common for 30 some years being imprisoned for simply declaring that you want to live by Islam.

Muslims rose up in the 10s of millions in Egypt to overthrow that garbage.
