Myself and many others. Basically anything else is better than Forex. Irrelevant of your education, background or anything - the Forex market is the most impossible to predict.

You can go to the Casino just as well - in the Casino it's black or red, in Forex it's rising or falling, every trade is a 50:50 chance and plain luck. In both you're "playing" as long till your broke again.

I agree with this man. Most of the people in the world don't have the level of aptitude to make money in this industry. They lose EVERYTHING. Don't even bother, I'm dead serious as well. U need a genesequa which very few possess.

The forex bizz is full of scam. Read this carefully, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forex_scam
There are traders who can make a living on it, but they are rare exceptions.
To start with, it's hard to find/develop a profitable strategy on the long term, and it's hard to find a trustful broker.
My advice: read and think carefully before you start, and forget the easy money thing

There IS no strategy in Forex, it's plain gambling.

A relative of mine is director general of one of the biggest  banks in our country (makes good 6 figures per year) and he said that his and many other banks have quit Forex trading generally cause everyone loses in the long-term, literally EVERYONE. The major banks have computers worth 5 million Euros fed with all the data relevant to predict the Forex trend, and even they're wrong more than 40 % of the time.

Especially as a private guy you're always behind with the information, if you'r not one of the guys sitting immedeately at the first hand information source you're gonna lose.

Also the whole process of the technical analysis is a joke, in Forex you can't make any predictions from the past, one hour later Obama burps and Merkel farts and everything is going upside down again.

The market moves randomly as I've said before, thats the beauty of it. All these homosexuals with their fundamental and technical trading and charts and candlesticks and Peter Bain that guy, all bullshit. Forex is a zero sum game cuz 1 person buys and another has to sell to offset, so at the end of the day if $1 is lost by you $1 is gained by someone else. Therefore, there's no such thing as EVERYONE losing, just the 99% who are dumbasses.

If u knew what worked you'd have withdrawals like this:

http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/2575/33008664.jpg
http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/6492/wdform.jpg
http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/1434/withdrawal.jpg

Then again, most of you are probably part of the 99% so dont even bother, u wont succeed in this market.

That $200,000 was 99 others losing $2,000 each. Thats how it works. Save your $2,000 dont be another victim. Go put it in a fixed deposit. You cant hang with the masters of this game.

Your images don't work. The "masters" are broke 5 months or 5 years later, when different "masters" arrive. ;)

You should treat stocks or currencies like idiots treat the lotto, not a solid bet in the least but just something to give you a little hope.

The images work in internet explorer, not opening in my firefox either for whatever reason. U shouldnt make comments if u really dont know the intricacies of how it all works. But you're the 2nd smartest person in this thread after yours truly, as you gave the guy good advice to just stay away and not be devoured by the masters.

You can make money in forex. Make sure that you stick to reputable broker...A broker that is a ECN would be your best choice.

Thinkorswim.com, MBtrading are good choices that ECN's, and you only need 400 dollars to get started...

Also Oanda.com in canada is very good and you only need a dollar to get started.  Someone who is interested in foreign exchange should stick to trading currency futures.  Futures firms are way more regulated than Forex firms.  The chances of being profitable are way better with futures, at the very least you don't have to worry about brokers cheating you.

Its u again. Listen u fuking idiot, dont give the guy bad advice. Its almost impossible to make money in forex unless you have a 150 IQ and really understand psychology. Most people even with a 120 IQ just dont get it. Just like in an IQ test its just a few answers that separate the 120 from the 150 from the 180. A guy with a 120 probably got most of the questions right, its just that genesequa as I said, that most dont have, just that special neuron in the brain that very few have. He'll lose his $400 eventually cuz if he did have the genesequa he would already be a millionaire and not posting a thread as this. Forex is more intricate than rocket science, u dont just "become" a rocket scientist. No offense to the OP.

I would honestly tell the OP to consider currency futures.. However, look at the new NFA report for Q4. retail forex for the first time have to report the percentage of their traders that are profitable.  The number are higher than i thought.

These number are for Q3 in 2010

Broker   % of accounts that are profitable   Total Non-Discretionary Accounts

Alpari        25%   1,563
Forex.com        23%   11,344
FX Club        29%   4,245
FXCM                23%   15,023
FX Solutions   24%   6,587
GFT                33%   10,358
IBFX               28%   18,579
IG Markets        20%   464
MB Trading        24%   4,822
Oanda        51%   49,584
PFG               21%   2,098
Average      25.5%   8,291

So on average 1 out of every 4 is profitable..
