No homo, but I saw this as a little kid and thats when I wanted to be a bodybuilder. I remember my dad brought home a giant VHS player from work and that was on some tape that he brought home. $:-\$

It was pretty funny when Sege Nubret came out. Ferrigno and his Dad just had this look like "Oh no, we're fucked."

And sure enough, Surge took 2nd place from Ferrigno.

That's a good scene, albeit rather bizarre. Can't remember who the guy in the yellow suspenders is but I remember it being mentioned on here a while ago.

Another good scene is the fat guy with the fro in the white t-shirt doing dumbell curls in Louie's gym.

Back when I saw it the first time I thought those were some sorta supps.

Impossible to choose amongst that many classic scenes. But a good one is when Arnold dresses down to a tank top and everyone knows it's game over already in the pump room. Serge saying "Looks like I can take you", and Arnold quickly responds "Yeah, keep looking..."

Arnold showing the guy how to pose near the end I actually know that guy he is from my hometown. He apparently just went out there back then showed up at the gym not knowing they where filming and got into the movie. Plus the Ed Corney and Arnold squatting scene is always inspirational.

Him and Arnold were very good friends. Back in the day I heard Tony was a leg breaker who collected for various loan sharks. I met him at several Mr. O expos... he seemed like a very friendly nice guy. He joked that he was filmed picking his nose in the back round while Arnold was being interviewed ("it's not any stranger than trying to go a 1/4 mile in 5 seconds" scene) in the gym.

I heard once of a story about some young guy coming in the gym wanting to learn how to pose.

arnold said in america you have to scream really loud when you pose

so they took this guy in his underwear and covered him in motor oil and let him run around the gym screaming at people
