80 million Egyptians have to live under dictator rule because of 6 million Jews/Israelis. Thanks Ron, thanks AIPAC.

Posturing by Mubarak for self-respect and with an eye to the world stage. If you don't think Obama has already laid it out to Mubarak you're kidding yourself. Egypt is critical to the geo-political Middle East and the US Middle-East worldview. Mubarak's successor will definitely be a military guy, one with a good/long history in and of US relations. Probably been a liaison for years. Never fear on this account, Coach.

So girded. It really could, but I like how even Israel is being very, very quiet/subdued about this. Not even trying to fuck around as they usually do.

Mubarak is smart enough to stay in power and not appease the Muslim Brotherhood.

Obama, on the other hand, it ready to capitulate immediately.  He evidently looks up to President Carter.......

Well, he's not staying.

Best plan: Don't be surprised to wake up and find Mubarak has left during the night. Perhaps with a covert US escort.

Worst plan, and more unlikely: Mubarak's head is used for a soccer ball.

in this speech he said clearly he gave ALL his authorities to the vice president.. the man just wants to go out in a good way!!.. it's clear this speech with its lot of "cuts" was recorded earlier (may be yesterday) and many experts confirmed that he is not in egypt now!!..

the assholes who are saying the muslim brotherhood will take the authority dont know a shit about what is happening now in egypt and by the way the MBH is not that popular in egypt,.. so many ppl are against it to rule!!..

Remember how Putin "stepped down"  ::)

You're probably right, but I would'nt be too sure of what the outcome is going to be at this point.

most probably mubark is not in egypt now and this speech was recorded in the morning or yesterday..

but in all cases the army would never allow the protestants to touch mubarak.. the army has played a great neutral role in this crisis!!..

it's a big turning point in the egyptian history and will definitely affect the whole region and so the whole world.. it will either take us up or will throw us in hell!!.. imo the best thing to happen now is to see the protestants going back to their homes and give the new authority the chance to make the promised improvements and changes till the coming elections in september!!..

but if you noticed mubark is very angry of the US press to make him leave now.. he mentioned this clearly in his speech.. but sure if the US was supporting him to stay till september he wouldnt have passed all his authorities to the vice president!!..
