bro...it's so obvious your a closet homo, it's not even debatable...

The cameraman was a professional that shoots for the mags, hired to do the shoot...for the book that you could probably still buy today...written by Maggie Greenwood Robinson and John Parrillo, one of the top trainers and innovators of the day.

The "tight little outfits" were "in" back in the early 90's...post a pic of yourself from 92, and we can all have a laugh Mr. Blackwell

I feel like arguing tonight so let's see here

calling me a homo is ad hominem chick, not to mention very childish, aren't you 50 something?

I don't care whether or not the cameraman is use to taking pictures of similar settings with men doing things to men and calling it exercise demonstrations. That doesn't justify you personally thinking that was a good idea, and neither does blaming it on the time period. Come on, you have to have a better reason than that for dressing and posing like that for money? Was it the artistic side of it  :-\ Or will you just do anything for money?

and asking for pictures of me is red herring the argument

It's not childish...it's a observation....and the funny thing is, even the homos tat aren't afraid to reveal themselves, dint talk about things being "gay", etc as much as you closeted guys do....dint have to be Freud to figure this out.

I never had any issue with my sexuality, and never gave it a second thought as anything but what it was...a photo shoot with someone I respected, and was respected in the community, in a studio with professional photographers, lighting crew, etc...

I suppose if I were in your shoes, where your own repressed sexuality makes you a classic homophobic, I would see it as you do.

When you watch UFC, do you see two guys trying to knock each other out, or submit to win a contest? Or do you see two athletic virile young men, wrestling all sweaty, trying to gain dominance by mounting  each other and "pin" the other man to the ground?

Chick, it's sad that you're this old and that's the best response you can come up with. You call me gay, you say the camera shoot wasn't weird because they had a lighting crew and a photographer that does that sort of stuff a lot, you call me gay again, and then you say "well other sports are gay too".

Just to answer your question, I don't watch sports.

I do apologize about that per se. It's just really easy making fun of Chick and that picture of him being posted again made me want to make fun of him. Don't worry, Chick doesn't have much of an argument left in him so I doubt he'll continue for long.

Yes pros should be training harder.

Bodybuilders this day an age are boring lazy oil bags compared to the pros in the 70's. I was watching pumping iron clips before my workout today what a difference the pros actually had some charisma back then. It seemed more like a sport. Arnold, Franco, and even Lou are interesting interviews. Guys today are boring as hell. Dennis Wolf the guy looks like he's half asleep during his interviews and he looks like pasty shit. Arnold and Franco were dressed up nice during the interviews they were pretty good looking dudes that actually looked like athletes. Body building is a joke it sucks now. Oh well.

LOL...of course you dont

You're not gay, you'e confused at this point in your life...it's all about perception, my repressed friend...I didnt call other sports gay, I asked how YOU viewed it...kind of says how your brain thinks and processes.

I'll dumb it down for you....

see, the regular straight guy sees a UFC fight, and sees two guys fighting to win....never a homosexual thought enters their mind...

YOU see nothing of the sort, but imagine what it would be like to be on the bottom as the muscular fighter mounts you in the guard position...you see their bodies rubbing together , etc...

Just as you saw that pic of me demo-ing an exercise with a trainer spotting, you chose to describe it much differently with references to "tiny outfits", and him "reaching around..",  "my ass", "some guy shooting it.." as if it was in some dimly lit basement...etc..

Hope this helps you to stop living in denial and just be yourself...it's much more liberating.

It's OK....really

After seeing the vid of Dennis Wolf's recent training, (back)...it made me think how many of todays top pros perform BOTH squats AND deadlifts in their weekly training splits, like pros of yesterday.

If you're at the top, perhaps commanding 6 figures per year, and all you do is eat-train-sleep, why would you not train as hard as possible? WHY??

Here is your answer:

First, the video you're referring to is a few weeks away from a show, when the pro's are scaling back the workouts...there is no good reason to be doing some of those bulking exercises that close to a show, when clearly you wont be putting on any muscle at that point...

that said, many pro's will cut out the heavy stuff at the 4 week mark, as keeping it in will lead to less separation, especially in the legs

Another factor, is the notion of training SMARTER, not HARDER...the pro's DO rain as hard as possible, while also being cognisant of avoiding injury, and training to their weaknesses, not their strengths...

Okay Chick, how did I lie when I typed that post describing what was happening in the picture? That's because I didn't lie. I described exactly what was going on. You can call it professional, you can tell yourself that you're still Mr. USA or whatever you tell yourself to justify dressing in thongs and getting up on stage for money or dressing in one piece tight outfits to pose for money, but at the end of the day you're just another muscled up guy flexing in a small outfit in exchange for money. If you was below a certain age and did that, people would claim it was immoral and demand that whoever coerced you into performing such an immoral act be put behind bars immediately. But since you're a grown man, it's called a "sport".

lol..I see where you're coming from, but it's all a matter of perspective.  Sure, it's easy to view the picures as laughably homo, with the fruity gymwear and the guy grabbing him from around the back - but everyone DID wear that shit back then.  As for the reaching around part...lol...it's how this spotting is to be done.

Chick states he doesn't feel as though he was contributing to any gay situation, and I believe him.  It's a similar situation on tandem skydives - it LOOKS gay as hell, but usually isn't.

Jesus bro...I really dint think I can simplify it anymore than I have.

You DIDN'T lie...you gave an honest answer as to what YOU see in the pic...consider it a Rhorshack test.

Straight guys see it one way...YOU see it another...that's the point.

I didn't have to "tell myself" it was professional...the facts and circumstances dictate that...this wasn't for some seedy underground website, it can be found to this day in a nationally distributed publication.

And yes...there are (and I was one of them)..."muscled up guys flexing in a small outfit in exchange for money"...the straight guys call it " Professional Bodybuilders competing on a stage for a title and prize money"

See...even in your pathetic excuse to try and explain yourself, you subconsciously STILL refer to things as YOU perceive them...

No one here thinks your gay. That has never been questioned. However everytime we question wether or not you did some kind of closed door schmoeing, you get all defensive and make 15 page essays on how it's only gay if you want it to be.

This strongly suggest you feel a strong sense of guilt on your past activities.

And yes I like banana's deal with it.

Closed door schmoeing, G4P, etc... is a joke...you're either gay/ bisexual and into that stuff or you're not...

As for the "only gay if you want it to be.."...thats your quote, not mine.
